We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment with my 8-month-old baby, I check in as usual ... one of the girls in front was quite rude saying that I had to check in otherwise they would put me arriving late 🤷🏻♀️ which I did not understand because I had already checked in. The thing was that we waited for 45 minutes waiting for them to call us with our baby and nothing that they called us, it's not the first time I go and they take so long to attend, my baby was quite uncomfortable and I felt pretty bad, I'm going to ask and not that the doctor is late that it's going to take longer !!! Really???!!! I make an appointment for an hour not to be attended 2 hours later!! They must organize themselves better because one goes with babies and children there. Anyway, I went 2 hours for pleasure

Dr. Erin was an exceptional clinical feeding therapist and, without question, the most effective one we have worked with. She introduced my son to foods he had avoided for over 10 years and helped him try them successfully. We are deeply grateful for her patience, professionalism, and skill throughout the process. Thank you, Dr. Erin.

Had an awesome experience here. The security and front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They stay on schedule and I was brought back on time. My son was there for a physical Therapy evaluation and I couldn’t be happier with how he was treated. Looking forward to having them work with my son and know he is in good hands.

I really wanted to love this place but there’s been so many issues that I feel it my duty to warn other parents. The billing is an absolute nightmare. It honestly feels like a scam. They bill inpatient prices for outpatient services and then also split facility and provider fee. You get billed for a test (like an xray) and then a second bill to have the xray results. This happened with a xray and an echo for my children. We were billed for the test and then again for the results. We also got billed a “follow up radiology” but I have no clue what that is. I called billing and I was never given an answer and the girl actually hung up on me. One of my itemized bills has a charge for “other” but no one can tell me what other is… Literally any possible way they can squeeze a penny out of you, t

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Frequently asked questions about Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota
What does Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota do?
Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota is a sleep medicine clinic in Sarasota, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Johns Hopkin's All Children's Outpatient Care - Sarasota?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
