I love my CPAP machine. I love having supplies for my CPAP machine. I don't like the fact that I have an appointment at a place under one name, the name on the door is something else and I get billing from yet another business all for the same device and equipment. The staff were excellent. The facilities clean and orderly. I would just prefer that dealing with the company itself didn't feel like I was dealing with a black market supplier for illicit goods.

This was a GREAT experience. My service tech Tedo was great at making me feel comfortable and giving me a hands on training of my device. It's hard to focus because of lack of sleep and Tedo understood that by being patient and walking me through every part of my device and plan. I really wish I had more teachers like him. Front desk staff were also very friendly and supportive. I highly recommend Healthline...life is tough and I am grateful when companies like this take the time and patience to walk with you. Looking forward to better sleep!

Auto-ship and billing after services shut off. I shut off services just about a month ago. Since then I have still been receiving reoccuring charges. I spoke with Jordan and he stated because they billed Aetna that I was billed co-pay for services. I didn't receive the package, I had previously stopped auto ship and auto pay but because they billed Aetna that I will have to pay the copay. I explained again that I had already been on the phone and was assured that auto ship and billing had been stopped. No supplies were received at my house and I had to use Amazon to get a new mask. (still cheaper than my co-pay btw and exact same mask) Jordan said the previous person didn't enter any notes, didn't stop the auto ship and that he needed to escalate. I was then hung up on. I highly recommend this CPAP instruction class. To be honest, I went into the session expecting it to be a bit of a waste of time, assuming I could easily figure out the equipment on my own. I was completely wrong, and I am so glad I attended. Tedo was an excellent instructor. They explained the setup, maintenance, and operation thoroughly and answered all of our questions with patience and expertise. Thanks to Tedo, I now feel confident using my equipment correctly. If you are on the fence about attending, it is absolutely worth your time.

Tedo was very professional and explained the set up and use of the product in easy and common sense terms. Without the presentation I think the set up and use of the machine would have been overwhelming. Grateful for the experience and confident in my ability to use the product successfully.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Healthline

What does Healthline do?

Healthline is a sleep medicine clinic in Austin, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Healthline?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Healthline directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Healthline?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Healthline?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
