I had a DEXA scan. I registered online. I arrived and got checked in within 5 minutes. The gal at first flour check in was super friendly and really quick. I proceeded upstairs and waited less than 5 minutes. Another gal showed me into the scan room, performed the procedure, we dpoje a bit. She was super friendly and quick as well. I left and was able to look up my results the next day on your APP. All in all, if my insurance accepted you, I’d go every time I had a scan or procedure scheduled since I was treated withkindness and respect. Thank you for bringing a great place to get medical business taken care of

I took my husband on a Sunday walked in with no wait. They had him back and was taking care of him. Started running test, and he did have to stay the night. He had Excellent care from everyone that came in his room. Several asked me if I needed anything. Thank God that I got to take him home with a follow up appointment. ROGERSVILLE is Blessed to have Hawkins County Memorial Hospital and all the staff. Thank You All.

Facility is clean. Staff was helpful. I gave a 4 star due to the long wait, over 10 minutes, to get to the one person who can admit and sign a patient in for their appt. There was only one person in front of me, no one behind me. And the one woman seemed like she wanted a break and hesitantly initiated my personal sign in for MRI

An unexpected trip to the ER - the registration clerk when I walked in the waiting room quickly got my complaint and called for a nurse, I arrived between shifts ; the nurses were professional and compassionate; the 2 doctors explained what to expect; every employee who came into my room were courteous, professional and friendly. I love this hospital and hope in the future more services we once had will become available for our community!

My husband was stuck in town on a road trip trying to get home for our son’s birthday when he had to take an emergency visit to Hawkins County Memorial Hospital due to not being able to hold down any liquids for two and a half full days, he was there barely two hours and they sent him home. We explained the situation and begged the staff and doctors to give him even just one more bag of fluids before they sent him off because he was going to be on a bike for 6-800 miles in this heat trying to get back home.. We were met with the doctor telling us and I quote “This isn’t a you get what you want burger joint”. I’m not sure if that’s how they treat every patient but the way my husband was treated is disgusting. My husband is a veteran so we have been to countless hospitals throughout the year

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory

What does Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory do?

Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory is a sleep medicine clinic in Rogersville, TN that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Sleep Laboratory?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
