Every time I've been there (yearly physical/blood work) it has been great. Very friendly staff and an easy registration process. The lab nurses/technicians have always been wonderful.

If I could give 0 stars,I would. I am new to the area and this is where I went as it was closer to me then other places.Next time I will make the drive elsewhere no matter the distance. The nurse that came in to take my vitals was very rude. And the doctor made me feel like one of my medical conditions was no big deal,or like I was looking for a "high"! I'm not an addict.Nor a drunk. I suffer from an severe anxiety/panic disorder. When I am sick or something is wrong,it tends to be uncontrollably. Being newer to the area, and just getting insurance again I haven't been able to see a family physician. So I have been out of my medicine,I explained that to the doctor. That it is the reason my anxiety/panic attacks were out of control,as well as the other reasons I came in for bloating, stomach pa

Lady at the front desk could use more training. I came in and she just kept repeatedly asking me what im here for as im telling her im waiting with someone and just sitting down. Didn't ask any other questions. She walks over ina rude tone and is like "does that person have an appointment?" Im like "yes" in an irritated tone cuz what? I get im black and youre trying to figure out who but maybe ask who im here with? Im literally answering your questions. She then irritatedly tells me to sign in and asks where they are and i guess looks them up instead of just asking who i came in with or telling me to sign in to begin with. Like shes all out her chair cuz she cant just say that? How was i supposed to know that? Short heavy blonde lady.

I'm a caretaker for an elderly couple at my church. I took them to Eaton Rapids Medical Center for an appointment. It was an early appointment for them, so we struggled but got there 14 minutes late (I checked when we got to the counter). The cutoff for being late is 15 minutes. The receptionists told us we were too late, but that they would call the doctor to see if we could be seen anyway. They didn't talk politely to the elderly couple and they tried to make it sound like we were later than 15 minutes. They told us it was after 9:30 when it was really 9:29. But the bigger issue I have is the way they talked to the elderly couple. It was unprofessional and downright unkind.

DOCTOR JOHN G FATA Absolutely disgusted by the treatment my friend received at the hospital last night. My friend came in concerned about dizziness, headaches, and swollen feet after clearly being dehydrated and consuming too much caffeine, soda, and energy drinks. Instead of focusing on the actual symptoms and concerns, the doctor immediately began making repeated comments about their weight the second they walked into the room. My friend is 6 feet tall and around 250 lbs, and somehow that became the main focus of the entire visit. Rather than listening to what they were experiencing, the doctor continuously made snarky and unnecessary remarks like asking what size they were last year and suggesting that being “way bigger” was the reason for everything happening now. The comments were no

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center
What does Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center do?
Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Eaton Rapids, MI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Eaton Rapids Medical Center Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
