I had a pretty frustrating experience at Dr. Mouchir Harb Medical Office and unfortunately it lived up to many of the negative reviews I had seen beforehand. From the moment I walked in, the front office felt chaotic and unorganized. The receptionist was noticeably loud and didn’t seem to have control over the flow of patients. There was a long line building up in the waiting room, and instead of addressing it efficiently, things just seemed to get more backed up and confusing. The lack of organization made the entire check-in process stressful, especially with so many patients waiting and no clear communication on timing or next steps. It didn’t feel like patients were being properly acknowledged or managed. Parking was another issue altogether. There’s very limited availability, which

Terrible service- Had an appt at 10:10 and when I arrived early there was at least 4 patients before me. When I was called to the back after waiting almost an hour, I asked the attendant how long would it be and he said there were 2 in front of me and as soon as the Dr was available. I told him I had to leave and we rescheduled for Thursday….On Thursday it was worse- there was no vital checks and the nurse said everything was fine and I though that was it and walked out. I went to the counter and asked how is it OK if I haven’t seen the Dr and she said I was next. When Dr Harb came in- there was no interaction with me, just on his computer saying all was well not to me, and after he was finished- just said you’re OK, and we’ll make you better. I was told by the nurse I needed a new referra

Showed up for my first appointment 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. To my surprise, they have signage everywhere and on the actual paperwork stating that there is a minimum wait time of 1 hour past your appointment time. My time is valuable and I refuse to wait that long for any doctor. I would’ve had to wait 90+ minutes from the time of my arrival, to be seen. What’s the point of having an appointment? I’m sure he schedules more patients than he can handle. I wish I would’ve known this sooner, since I wasted gas driving down there and I walked out as soon as I heard of that asinine policy. To top it off, they charge patients for last minute cancellations despite the fact that they’re overbooked. RIDICULOUS!

When I first arrived in Las Vegas I was very pleased and thankful for Dr Harb and his staff, truly. But as time went on the red flags just became harder and harder to ignore. I'm more than grateful for the medication that I received when I so desperately needed it upon arriving here in town and my insurance giving me so much grief about covering it. However I cannot ignore the fact that the staff either refused to advocate for me in getting all of my medications approved or helping me get needed medication that would work after being off my old medication for so long. They also told me they were not allowed to call provider services lol that one I'll never forget. The Dr. was scheduling my needed nerve blocks or cortisone injections weeks apart for extra insurance payments. Then if all th

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD

What does Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD do?

Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD is a sleep medicine clinic in Las Vegas, NV that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Dr. Mouchir S. Harb, MD?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
