The Doctor and the nurses working this shift 8/14/26 was horrifying. They were so terrible, so rude and treating you like criminals. They should not be that facility. You don’t have the power to treat people.Real doctors and nurses have compassionate care , dignity and respect to patients and family, but you guys who working this shift was a mistake. tonight , have your life pull together and revisit your soul and ask your self why are you in healthcare? I know ER is overwhelming, but you don’t have the right to be rude for no reasons. I hope the hospital management will revisit this individual in the ER for the improvement of quality of patient care g And life. ..and so other people will not experience the same anymore….

Brought my 7 year old into the ER last night because of severe abdominal pain. They got us right in, the nurse was so kind to us (as I was panicking the entire time haha) and the doctor checked him over in a timely fashion. They don't have overnight ultrasound techs but I understand with it being a rural hospital. They made sure to get us right in for an ultrasound the following morning though. Literally no wait, fit us in between appointments. I truly appreciate the care they put into getting my little guy on the mend, how patient they were with us and the prompt callback from radiology to let me know in depth what was going on and what to do. My only recommendation is if you have a dire life threatening emergency, they don't have certain procedures and test available at night.

Will a couple weeks ago I went to the ER for shoulder and back pain, say hi to give me fentanyl so I can lay down for 3 minutes and take a CAT scan, then the nearest community drink everyday and I do not consume alcohol I don't know what that was all about. When I want to leave I asked the doctor if he was going to give me any painkillers he said no I said to him will you give me fentanyl so I could lay down and get the CAT scan what you don't think when I go home I'm going to have to lay down, then they said it was a non-emergency, so when they have to give you a fentanyl so you can lay down that's not an emergency this place is a joke.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Cobleskill Regional Hospital
What does Cobleskill Regional Hospital do?
Cobleskill Regional Hospital is a sleep medicine clinic in Cobleskill, NY that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Cobleskill Regional Hospital?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Cobleskill Regional Hospital directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Cobleskill Regional Hospital?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Cobleskill Regional Hospital?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
