After calling to see if I could schedule my daughter an appointment for later today or the next day, hell maybe even the day after, I was transferred 4 times. I kept coming back to Betty despite her transferring me numerous times. While on hold the automated system told me I was first in line, just to tell me 30 seconds later that I was fifth in line? Once I got to speak to a human, Percy to be exact, I was not taken seriously or like I mattered. Percy told me that my Dr was out of the office and Dr agyupong (probably misspelled) only sees his patients for the same day visits (can’t remember what she called them). Percy informed me to call back first thing in the morning, and attempt to be put on the schedule. I asked her what a good number was to call since I was transferred over 4 times

75 minutes past appointment time and still no doctor. The optometry dept wayyy overlooks the ability to see patients. Pun intended. Next time I have to cone here will bill the clinic for any time in excess of 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment. My time is valuable and I will not have it stolen by someone who thinks it is okay to make others wait. I am expected to be on time and it is reasonable to expect the office to be.

This clinic is trying to charge me over $900 for an annual well check. My insurance covered part of it so now I only owe $650. This makes absolutely no sense at all. I went to Family Practice associates the next year, same visit, same insurance and paid nothing so clearly something is wrong in the billing department, I have called and left a message for them 3 times in the past 2 days, 5 times over the past year and have gotten no response.

It’s unfortunate that so many employers choose to send workman’s comp to Dr. Clarence Wolinski office at the Clinics of North Texas. My wife tore a muscle in her leg yesterday and had to be seen by him while in tears from the pain. They chose it was not important enough to send her prescription in to be filled until after having to go back to their office today to confront them. No returned phone calls from their office, no regard for the pain she is in. Absolutely BS

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Clinics of North Texas
What does Clinics of North Texas do?
Clinics of North Texas is a sleep medicine clinic in Wichita Falls, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Clinics of North Texas?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Clinics of North Texas directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Clinics of North Texas?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Clinics of North Texas?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
