Faith was very thorough and informative on how to use the CPap machine and its settings and features. There was a lot of information involved. but her patience in answering my questions made it less intimidating and it was interesting. I’m looking forward to using the machine, and appreciated the time spent learning about it.

This company is completely incompetent. Unless you are ordering more supplies (which they will harass you for) they can't get anything else right. Took me a month to get a new mask - they literally could not figure out how to place an order. Now I'm unable to get a return label to send it back. I've spent 40 mins on the phone with them over the past two weeks with a promise to send a return label - nothing. WORST COMPANY USE SOMEONE ELSE

ZERO stars This company is managed by thieves. If you have issues with billing please, complete a complaint with the state at dca.ca.gov their California license is 98861 and they are registered under Durable Medical Equipment. A complaint only takes 3-4 mins. Also file a complaint with your insurance. They said I owed them 18 cents, and tried to pay in Escondido and they said no because they also owed me some cents and it will balanced each other, next thing they sent me a bill for $16.17

I have been working with the Better Night company mostly over the phone and they have been amazing in responding to my questions in starting on a cpap program. Today I went in for a face to face review as I was looking for help with a mask fitting. Justin was a superstar. He took the time to discuss all of the questions I had, on how the equipment worked, cleaning and a few other related topics, adding great tips to get used to the mask. He was really easy to talk to and answered all of my questions so that I understood him. He took care to make sure I got all the information I needed, even scheduling a follow up call to see how it works out. Great customer service, great guy!

Made an 11am appointment/got there and they said it was 1pm. Wasted 1/2 day and missed family outing due to their screw up. Arrived at 12:55 pm and receptionist didn’t appear at Front for over 10 minutes. Pathetic

  • Sleep Disorders Therapy

Common services at sleep clinics include diagnostic sleep studies, CPAP titration (finding the right air pressure), follow-up therapy adjustments, and treatment planning for insomnia and other sleep disorders. What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about BetterNight

What does BetterNight do?

BetterNight is a sleep medicine clinic in Escondido, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at BetterNight?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact BetterNight directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at BetterNight?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at BetterNight?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
