Not impressed. My boyfriend broke his elbow and when I told him to ask for assistance on getting the Chloraprep or Betadine (not sure exactly what was used) off of his skin from the surgery as he was sitting for more than 2 days with no shower and when asked "How can i get this washed off of me" (politely asked I might add), the nurse vaguely said "showering." Clearly, he needed assistance as he can't get his cast wet, instructions were not given yet on showering with the injury, and sitting for more than 2 days, instructions and assistance with showering could have been provided at that moment. Nothing else was said other than "showering" as if he didnt know that.. just needed assistance. Also, we have been requesting his records since before discharge, with no response. I work in medical

I cannot speak highly enough for Beloit Memorial Hospital on this visit. I understand hospitals are not a pleasant place to go. Due to we often go there because we’re either ill or a loved one is ill and, the whole experience just plainly sucks. I’ll try to make a long story short; Friday morning I woke up with my knee absolutely killing me. Pain rate probably about eight or nine. I thought it might go away and it didn’t. Felt like someone took a sledgehammer to it. I went to Mercy health in Janesville emergency room and was missed diagnosed and not given any pain medicines to get me through the weekend. I wasn’t looking for morphine or OXY or anything like that. I wanted something. Just at least bring it down to a five. Perhaps Tylenol codeine enough to get me through the weekend until I

Timothy M. McKevett , CEO Beloit Hospital. I recently had surgery at BMH. My surgeon was there and I didn’t like the choices in the area. Was supposed to be an in and out procedure but, because of my age, they kept me for a couple of nights. After I woke up. They gave me the news that I had to stay. I was upset. A young gentleman, who was a nurse, came and moved me to another floor. He was a veteran like me (although I’m from Vietnam Era) and was the most attentive nurse that I had for the entire 2 days. The crap that I saw from the other nurses giving to him, was utter harassment. He responded, “comes with the job, we are all family.” That stuck with me, as patriot for God and country. In the military we are all family and we have each others backs. Gotta say, in my 81 years, never

Pure scam over 15k for an assault and a few scans with no insurance there’s no way I’m paying that much ever sorry to say. Lady left my IV pump that I didn’t want since I was already getting a tetanus shot ontop of that pump going for way longer then needed it was beeping for a good 4-5minutes before anyone arrived to take it out. Also didn’t get any explanation of what was actually wrong just to keep an ice pack on the injury. when the lady came back in unplugging the beeping monitor she left going I asked how the scans went she literally said I had clean scans after asking and had to read it on the paper work that I had a fractured and some more. Go to Urgent Care Never come to the ER they will overcharge every way they can I guess

Exceptional Care During an Unexpected Situation: We came in for a routine outpatient procedure, but my mom experienced breathing complications due to her heart condition. The doctors and nurses were wonderful—attentive, caring, and professional. They recommended transferring her to the ER as a precaution, where the staff was equally amazing. My mom is home and doing well now. We both left incredibly impressed by the exceptional care we received from everyone. Highly recommend this hospital!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Beloit Memorial Hospital
What does Beloit Memorial Hospital do?
Beloit Memorial Hospital is a sleep medicine clinic in Beloit, WI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Beloit Memorial Hospital?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Beloit Memorial Hospital directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Beloit Memorial Hospital?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Beloit Memorial Hospital?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
