My husband was treated at the hospital last week. The entire staff treated us both with such kind, caring attitudes. We were very impressed and thankful. Dr Rios took so much time to talk about my husband’s condition and make everything so clear. He is the best. I can’t say enough good things about Arkansas Heart Hospital and Clinic! Thanks to all who work there❤️

My mother was brought into the ER late afternoon of June 25th. The ER nurses were probably experienced enough to know things weren't looking good. They were compassionate and attentive to both me and my mom. The head nurse gave me her direct number and told me to call anytime. She was later moved to a floor and I received the call at 4:30am on June 26th from the doctor to let me know she was in cardiac arrest. They were working on her, half way there, I got another call saying things weren't looking good. They continued to work tirelessly on her, even when they knew it wasn't going to save her, until I got there. They saw her as a person, with a family who loved her. All the nurses and the doctor gave me hugs and condolences. In one of the hardest times in my life, they showed love. I wish

Let me just say that this was one of the best experiences we've had in a long time. My wife has had a multitude of heart related problems in the past, so we are no strangers to seeking emergency care. The night staff was wonderful. Her nurse, Kimberly Anderson, comforted my wife during such an uncertain time, and we are incredibly grateful for her kindness and professionalism. From the moment we arrived until the time we were discharged, the entire team was fantastic. We truly appreciate the level of care this emergency room provided. While I hope we never have to return, it's reassuring to know that such a talented and compassionate staff is available during some of life's most stressful and frightening moments. Thank you all for the outstanding care. Great job!

Some of the staff is truly remarkable but there are drawbacks. Ten years ago my fiancée was admitted to test her ability to tolerate the drug Tykosin (sp) for her atrial fibrillation. She, at the time, was taking Propafenone (sp) and was told to refrain from taking it 14 days prior to being administered Tykosin. However, she had only been off of Propafenone for 6 to 7 days when they chose to admit her for the test. The first dose converted her and gave us hope. She was taken out of the room for an MRI and when she was brought back into the room, she was not hooked up to her monitors. Luckily, one of the efficient nurses found the mistake and corrected it. She was then given her second dose of the drug and that time, she went into cardiac arrest. If the mistake of not being hooked up to her

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center
What does Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center do?
Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Little Rock, AR that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Arkansas Heart Hospital Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
