I had a great experience at this facility (as great as a sleep study can be, that is). The scheduling process was easy, (I had to wait about a month because it was December which is a busy month with people meeting deductibles etc, but it worked well for me so I could coordinate a day off work), I received a confirmation call to go over any questions I had plus written instructions. There was enough parking and I was greeted in a friendly manner. Renee looked after me overnight and was very friendly, explained things well and made sure I was comfortable. Christa took over for the morning shift and was just as great as Renee. I brought my own pillow and the bed was comfortable enough. I played white noise during the night and didn’t hear any other sounds. There was a fridge and microwave fo

I would like to recognize Lynette for the outstanding care she provided during my sleep study on July 8th. From the moment I arrived, she was kind, welcoming and incredibly respectful. As a Deaf patient, I especially appreciated that when the interpreter was not on the on the screen, Lynette made a genuine effort to look directly at me while communicating. That simple act of respect made me feel included, comfortable and valued throughout the entire process. She took excellent care of me, explained everything with patience and made sure I was comfortable during my sleep study. Her compassion, professionalism and friendly personality truly stood out. I am so blessed and grateful that Lynette was my sleep technologist. She made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm and rea

I was very nervous because I can’t sleep in different spaces, but the second I entered the sleep center, I felt very relaxed. The sleep center technician made me feel right at home and I even had my own tv and I watched survivor before bed that they provided on the wall. The sleep study was very easy and I fell asleep right away. I really enjoyed the experience.

I was worried about doing a sleep study by a major intersection that would be noisy, but the building was surprisingly comfortable. The room felt cozy and my husband was allowed to stay overnight in the recliner. I brought noise cancelling earplugs, which were more helpful the next day. It also helped to have my own pillow and blankets. The techs were wonderful and did an amazing job making the experience stress-free. They explained everything well and were able to answer any questions I had. My study was with Dr. Drahos and APRN Abagail Mckinnon and they reviewed my study quickly so I had the results within 4 days.

The Center made things very easy and relaxing for me. My technician was amazing and I wish I could remember her name just to give her five stars alone.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando

What does AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando do?

AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando is a sleep medicine clinic in Orlando, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at AdventHealth Sleep Center Orlando?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
