From the time I entered the door of the hospital at 5:25 am I was greeted by check in/ registration with a wonderful greeting and a smile. Very efficient then to my room where the nurse was very attentive in making sure everything was up to date on my chart. The anesthesia team got my leg block and back injection were very helpful in explaining what each one was and how to administer. Completely at ease with everyone. Awesome team and experience. Check out nurses were awesome also. Excellent experience and would choose this hospital again in the future.

Upon arrival for surgery, I engaged with registration. Normally, a lengthy matter, but this was not. Very easy to navigate with their tablet and then finished up with a real person. I just finished when I was called back and escorted to a waiting room. Only there for a few minutes and was escorted back to my room. IV put in and given very easy to understand instructions. Each nurse that I spoke with was very easy to talk with and extremely knowledgeable. There was even my own TV in the room! Only a matter of minutes before the anesthesiologist spoke with me followed by the surgeon. Within minutes I was off to never, never land and woke back up in my room. Don't remember a thing. Within 1 1/2 hours I was dressed and out the door. Everyone that I encountered (nurses, volunteers, front desk)

Clean, comfortable, respectful, snd professional facility. I had what I would say is the absolute best experience I could have had. They listened to my concerns, made me feel safe, and helped my support person with any resources during and after my surgery. The entire process was made simple. Everyone was so polite and pleasant, from the first phone call to the end of the experience. Anyone needing surgery I would recommend to your facility. If someone I knew was having surgery here, I would tell them with the upmost confidence that not only do they know how to handle every kind of situation, but they’re not judgmental people. They are kind hearted and truly caring. You can trust them with your needs without concern

I'm impressed with the complete package provided by West Valley Medical Center. I was admitted around 05:15 on 07/09/26, I counted a total of 10 various individuals, nurses, doctor, surgery support staff, that I remember and counted during the procedure until I was wheeled out to the vehicle to take me home around 5: 00 or so. Superb staff, attentive, caring, helpful, I have nothing to say that would be a negative comment. In the surgery room, I was busy, everyone had a job to do, it was well orchestrated, handled quickly, built my confidence and I am doing very well right now. I will get the dressings removed from my lower area this morning, I was told to give them a couple of days without disruption to allow the healing process and today starts my 3rd day so time to remove, be carefu

I recently had disc replacement surgery @ WVMC and couldn't possibly overstate how good the experience was. Efficiency: I appreciated the online check in process that allowed me to take care of the paperwork and registration @ home on my own time for both the pre-op and the actual surgery. When I arrived, I scanned a QR code, answered 10 questions and was escorted to where I needed to be. No wait! Human Experience: I was contacted by Bree the surgery manager a few days before surgery via text. By the time I had arrived, my questions had been answered, and I knew exactly what to expect. Walking in and meeting the staff felt a lot like seeing friends. They knew me by name. I never actually felt like a patient from registration to discharge. I can't really explain it but I was goi

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about West Valley Medical Center
What does West Valley Medical Center do?
West Valley Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Caldwell, ID that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at West Valley Medical Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact West Valley Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at West Valley Medical Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at West Valley Medical Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
