I tried the c-pap for 3 months and threw it against the wall every night about 2 am. I went to see DR. Romack and got fitted for a sleep apnea mouthpiece. I found it very easy to sleep with the very first night. I am into my second month and my wife says the snoring has stopped and I do not quit breathing anymore. I have never been to a dental office that is so prompt, and the staff is always very friendly. DR. Romack is never in a rush and explains what she is doing in great detail. I don't know if DR. Romack reads a lot of motivational books or is just naturally in good mood. When she comes in to talk to you its as if she just won something. I highly recommend this office.

I was first diagnosed with Sleep Apnea 13 years ago and have been successfully treating it by using a custom made Oral Appliance every night. Unfortunately, these appliances don't last forever. After an extensive search for a provider who accepts my new health insurance (Medicare) I found Dr Romack and team at WDSM. My first contact was with Kristi. She explained WDSM's approach and process in detail. Everything has work worked just as she told me. My visits with Dr. Romack and assistant Kiki have been excellent, as they patiently answered all my questions and provided the detailed next steps to securing a new Oral Appliance to treat my OSA. I've been delighted with all interactions with this team of professionals.

I knew I had sleep apnea and had tried C-PAP unsuccessfully twice. But when my anesthesiologist came to visit me in recovery following surgery and said it was truly an issue, I started researching alternatives. I came upon Dr. Romack and Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine. Impressed with Dr Romack's credentials, I made my first appointment. From the initial visit, everything has been stellar - such a kind, customer-care oriented establishment! Dr. Romack and her office staff have made this process so comfortable and easy. All areas of testing were thorough and Dr. Romack carefully reviewed the results with me. I absolutely recommend Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine.

After wearing a C-Pap for over 3 ;years, I began have facial breakouts due to sudden allergic reaction to the latex used in the masks. After several visits and medications from the dermatologist, I saw my sleep doctor and told him my problems. He referred me to Dr. Romack and thus began my journey with a mouthpiece for sleeping. The staff is wonderful and I really learned a lot from Dr. Romack. She explains everything easily. The first exam was very thorough and all the essays were forwarded to my dentist, so I did not have to repeat them. I have been using the appliance now for about 5 months and it is working. My sleep and energy level is much better. We are still tweaking it to get the optimal results but so far all is going well. Thank you Dr. Romack, Kristie, and Tiki.

I was referred to Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Romack, because I have severe sleep apnea. I tried using a Cpap machine as prescribed by my pulmonologist but was unsuccessful. I just could not sleep with that thing strapped to my face. He told me about the option of using a dental appliance and that sounded like Heaven to me. This office, the staff and particularly Dr. Romack, are amazing. Very friendly, courteous and professional. I’ve never had to wait even a minute past a scheduled appointment time, which is rare in today’s world. The appliance has done miracles for me, the periods where I stop breathing have dropped from 39 times per hour to 5 times per hour in a three month period. My oxygen levels have improved tremendously, best of all….I can sleep comfortably wit

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine

What does Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine do?

Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine is a sleep medicine clinic in Weatherford, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Weatherford Dental Sleep Medicine?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
