Need a prescription refill? Good luck. I was out of medication since 11/27 and they didn't refill it correctly until 12/6 ? IDK whatever, either way its unacceptable. We upped my dose to 2 pills per day, 60 pills per month. Guess what? Due to their clerical error, Walmart won't fill it because it says 60 pills, 1 pill per day. It Took FIVE business days to get this corrected after No one answers the phone. They tell me I am mistaken and I have to wait until the end of december to refill my prescription etc. So for a simple prescription refill it took 6 DAYS. I pay 150$ for a 3 minute video call once a month for this garbage. Sorry "doctors", The only thing saving your jobs is big pharma. Avoid at all costs. PS. They don't ever answer the phone. I called EIGHT times in a row around 2-23

This practice is highly unreliable. They barely answer the phone, and when they do, the interaction is handled very unprofessionally. I was able to schedule an appointment, but no directions or guidance were provided beforehand or after. I ultimately left with the same issue I came in with. After completing the paperwork and paying the copay, I expected to receive actual assistance, but that did not happen. Seek help elsewhere, just to save some stress!!

This place has got to be a joke. There are two noises they can’t stand, one is the phone ringing and the other would be the call for duty. I spent 2 weeks attempting to get a prescription issue resolved. I called 9 times with no answer, left 5 voicemails, one was returned but I unfortunately missed it, and finally got to a point I could text the practitioner’s assistant, to which I’ve found helpless. I raised my concern over text message and was met with immediate defense regarding inactions, rather than any helpful gesture or sympathy. To top it off, my last appointment was at 3:20pm on a Friday. I didn’t receive an invite until 3:31pm but during that time I was also at work and driving. I got on at 3:40pm but was promptly told my scheduled appointment was already passed but she’d “make a

Dr. Aina and Milka Kamau have drastically improved my quality of life over the last year. I’m very thankful to Tri-MED for providing such professional, caring, and supportive mental health professionals. From the office staff’s and nurses’ prompt responses to the quality of care I’ve received, they are the gold standard.

This office barely answers the phones, never calls someone back. I had a complication with a medication that was prescribed by Catherine and I let them know 1st thing Monday morning and it’s now Thursday afternoon. I’ve called 4 times, 3 voicemails and a in person visit and still no communication, no answers and still not another medication recommendation. This is not professional behavior and I will not be back. Think twice about your referral here from your physician, there has to be a better provider out there that prioritizes it patients!

I just called and it’s a $500 for a new patient visit and then it’s $450 per hour after that initial visit. uh that just seems super high. yes, this was not written by a bite. I was told $100 for the first visit and then you have to do $400 for testing. After this, every 20 minute visit is $150, I guess maybe they have some sort of price ramping structure or you’re just getting screwed if you’re going there for your prescription medication. Just be aware.

I've been seeing Dr. Aina for many years now, and he is my favorite amongst the many psychiatrists that I've seen over the years for my anxiety/panic disorders. He is very knowledgeable and personable. He is one of the very few people that I don't get anxious talking with. I enjoy our visits and I would recommend him to anyone who asked!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine

What does Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine do?

Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine is a sleep medicine clinic in Sherman, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Tri-MED Integrative Psychiatry & Sleep Medicine?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
