I completed an overnight sleep study back on November 8, 2025. My pcp has still not been able to get the results and no test results are available on my patient portal. I’m starting to suspect something may have went wrong with my test. I understand things happen, just let me know so I can be rescheduled. Aside from this, my tech was friendly and the facility was clean and comfortable.

I would like to leave a review for John, the sleep technician on Orange Ave, regarding my sleep study testing. John was very professional, kind, and attentive throughout the entire process. He made sure I was comfortable, explained everything clearly, and helped make what could have been an uncomfortable experience feel easy and well-organized. I truly appreciate the care and professionalism he showed during my testing. Thank you, John, for providing such great service.

Costumer service was amazing at this location. My sleep tech Juan was very accommodating and educational through the whole process. Any question I had was answered and I understood everything. The facilities were clean and the bed was comfortable. I was able to get my 1st experience with CPAP technology and it was amazing. The best sleep I had even with me getting used to the mask and machine. I highly recommend this location. Total Sleep Management scheduling personnel were amazing as well. I was racing against a deadline to get this study done and the soonest they had was December 15. I asked them if I could be put on waiting list in case someone canceled and they did. I got the phone call yesterday (same day I put the request) that there is an opening available that same night. This wa

I see multiple people mentioning it taking so long to get their sleep studies done and the facility blaming insurance. I hate to break it to you, but my insurance company had to CALL you because of stating you didn’t receive the denials that were sent within 72 hours of submission. I also found out you did NOT actually submit my order to my insurance until three weeks after it was provided to you, and that was only after I called twice. Once you FINALLY submitted the updated order and it was approved it took over a month for you to schedule my delivery. And I received a text Message as the initial attempt to set this up. That is extremely unprofessional and treated as a scam on my part. I finally got a call about 3 weeks later to set up the delivery. Then it was another week before I was c

I've had two sleep studies at that office, the last one less than a year ago. Israel was an excellent coordinator, and the technicians who assisted me on the day of my study were also very professional. The results were quick, and I have no complaints. Thank you so much

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Total Sleep Management
What does Total Sleep Management do?
Total Sleep Management is a sleep medicine clinic in Orlando, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Total Sleep Management?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Total Sleep Management directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Total Sleep Management?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Total Sleep Management?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
