I had a positive experience this Day at the Beacon Hospital Three Rivers. I went in for an ultrasound, didn't have to wait long and the tech was kind, gentle and answered questions that I asked. The only minor down side was a bit of a wait to check in at the main desk and the staff member who came in to check people in wasn't exactly Miss Mary Sunshine. But, overall, I would recommend this facility for ultrasounds.

The employees were wonderful and so nice, and I don’t have a problem with that. We have great employees at Beacon TR. My issue is with the lack of staff. I waited 1 hour before going back up and standing in line again to ask why it was taking so long for a lab draw. There wasn’t but one registration person and I got missed due to all the patients coming in. She was very apoplectic and so was the lab lady. I know it was just an oversight do to volume. I had a vacation day so I wasn’t in a hurry, but I’m sure kinda disappointed we haven’t ramped up due to Sturgis closing that was a few weeks ago, and I’m sure the volume has not slowed down, so I don’t see why it hasn’t been addressed and fixed yet?

DO NOT I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE! Unless you're dying, even then, if you can make it somewhere else, please go there. Let's start with Elizabeth. She's at the front desk. She didn't greet me, she didn't smile, initially she didn't even look at me when I walked up because she was talking to the security guard. No compassion, no empathy, no professionalism. She treated me like a number. Her people skills literally don't exist. The nurse who walked me back, I didn't see her name tag, I wish I would've same scenario. She literally just called my name and walked be back to my room. She didn't greet me, no smile, no how are you, nothing. Just, "The doctor will be in shortly." The doctor came in, she said her name but I don't remember it. At least she said, "Hi." However, it was the same exp

My experience at the TR ER last night was terrible once we made it back to the ER. The greeting desk and nurse that checked us in were great. Once we were in a room we waited 40 minutes and saw nobody. No doctor and no nurse came in the 40 minutes we sat in there. There were plenty of nurses sitting in the common area but even when I poked my head out of the room they ignored us. We were there 2 1/2 hours and finally left after waiting 40 minutes in the ER room. I would add we left at 11:40 pm. We arrived at 9:15. Not impressed. Healthcare is expensive. It would have been nice if they could have at least acknowledged our presence.

This is for my NP. She is the best. Had my appointment yesterday with her. Can't even think of anyone else who's as caring and understanding as her. Had to go to temp set up as their building is still in repair because of the tornados that went through. As for the er, I've had a couple of experiences there and just to much to go into. I know there are a couple of really good er room Drs there, but I can't remember their names, but would recognize them if I saw them. But my 5 stars are for my NP, and if she sees this she will know me ☺️

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Three Rivers Health
What does Three Rivers Health do?
Three Rivers Health is a sleep medicine clinic in Three Rivers, MI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Three Rivers Health?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Three Rivers Health directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Three Rivers Health?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Three Rivers Health?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
