Alyssa provided excellent customer service during my recent appointment at Texas Home Medical. She throughly explained the new features on my CPAP device upgrade. She took time to set up everything and register on the MyAir app. Patiently compare and explain the differences between the old and new equipment. She walked me through the entire process. I highly recommend working with Alyssa and Texas Home Medical.

I went Monday to Pasadena Texas Home Medical to pick up my machine, which was a nasty rainy day. When I got there I was greeted by Alyssa, who was a ray of sunshine. Alyssa made sure I understood how my machine worked and that I also understood the weekly maintenance I needed to keep my machine working at it's best. I am happy with my machine, but very happy with the service I received.

Alyssa came to my house to get me set up and was amazing. Very professional and friendly. This is my first time using a cpap machine and she made it easy. Selecting a mask was intimidating at first, however, Alyssa walked me through everything and we picked one to try and even selected a backup if the first choice doesn’t end up working out. So far my experience has been better than expected using a cpap machine. Glad to have Alyssa and Texas Home Medical in my corner.

TEXAS home medical on Strawberry Road, Pasadena has been my Cpap Supplier for over 5 years. They have been so consistent in my receiving my supplies. When I was having trouble with my first machine, and I did not feel comfortable with what was going on, they gave me the number to the manufacturer so I could talk to them. I just picked up a new machine from them. Alyssa Glasgow help me. She is awesome. She explained everything different about the new machine and showed me the location and how to change the filters, the difference in the water tank, the buttons and tubing. She made sure I had the supplies I needed And then called back a couple of days later to see if I was having any problems with the equipment and to inform me that I would be receiving additional products in the mail shor

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Texas Home Medical
What does Texas Home Medical do?
Texas Home Medical is a sleep medicine clinic in Pasadena, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Texas Home Medical?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Texas Home Medical directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Texas Home Medical?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Texas Home Medical?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
