They explain everything very well. Ive never had such an easy appointment in my life. You walk in and tell the front desk you're there. They brought me right back. Where she walked me through how to work the device, and then I left. I had to return the device the very next day by 9 am. Basically you scan the QR code on the box which takes you to a YouTube video explaining in detail how to put on and use the sleep apnea device! When you get there you'll see a sign that says sleep study right in front of the building. You walk in and just continue straight, and youll walk past suite 1700 and 1600, and then 1500 is right where you need to go to check in! So 3 down on your right side.

Shelly was my nurse last night and she made my whole experience from start to finish stress free. She explained everything in detail and was so attentive and kind. You can tell she is very good at her job and cares about her patients. I truly believe I had the best experience because of her!!!!

GET A QUOTE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, all of the staff were great and professional. The facility was clean and as comfortable as possible. However, I was not expecting the bill. I should have asked, I learned my lesson. The average out of pocket expenses in SC to deliver a baby at the hospital is $1352. I was billed over $13,000 for my sleep study. My out of pocket expense was $3500, only because that was the yearly maximum for my insurance. I went to my doctor and they recommended a sleep study. I agreed and had it scheduled. I was naive and had no idea that a test could cost that much. I would expect something like this for surgery, but not a test. My mistake, but hopefully my experience and great expense can help others avoid something like this or at least plan.

I would go anywhere but here to have a sleep study done. Most sleep studies give u an actual bed but here you get a crappy hospital bed I had to stay the night with my grandma because she is blind the chair bed mattress is like a inch of foam and the sheets they bought me had stains on them. This place is outdated and disgusting and for the price of these studies you would think they would have better standards. Motel 6 hospital with Hyatt prices.

Been to this location on several different occasions. Staff is always friendly and take great care of you. Other than dealing with the equipment it's almost like being on vacation. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant and the check in process is quick and efficient.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove

What does Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove do?

Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove is a sleep medicine clinic in Spartanburg, SC that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Spartanburg Regional Sleep Services-North Grove?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
