Great experience so far. I was unable to use a CPAP or have the implantable device, Dr. Andry was able to come up with a solution for me using a dental device. He is knowledgeable and personable. His assistant Jazmin is helpful, friendly, and on-top of things. They are a great team and I would definitely recommend them.

Diamond and Alexis are fantastic. Diamond takes the initiative and made sure I had been taken care of. There was a minor misunderstanding and she took it upon herself to resolve the issue. Professionally and with compassion and care. Alexis is so kind and sweet. As I waited in the lobby I could see how they both interacted with the clients with compassion, care and kindness. These two young ladies go beyond what is expected to make each and every customer feel welcomed. So thank you Diamond and thank you Alexis.

Dr. Adame and Jazmin were incredible. Their professionalism, expertise and demeanor were the best I have experienced. From the very first appointment to the delivery of the appliance was such a relaxing and positive experience. Jazmine scanned my images fast and absolutely accurate. Dr Adame walked me through every step. I would recommend this team to anyone. Craig

I was going to move on with my life and simply not give this place another thought, but I still can’t get over the way I was treated. I saw an NP at 3:30 PM on a Saturday, which seemed weird in itself, and the entire experience was unbelievable. The NP I saw could not have cared less about me as a human being even if he tried. I got emotional and tried to have him understand that sending me home with no help with my insomnia would tank my mental health, which in the coming weeks after, it did. The part that is just absolutely insane to me is that I told him that I can’t fall asleep. I will not be able to get tired enough to lay down to sleep, but once I actually do, I stay asleep. He told me that 90% of the patients he sees have sleep apnea and that surely was what was happening, so I need

My my experience with this facility is far from meeting what I would consider reasonable expectations. While my provider Victoria and her assistant have been excellent. Unfortunately I have continued to have issues with my BiPAP machine and on my last visit on June 17 Victoria made a number of changes and said if I had any issues to reach out to her and the staff as soon as possible, I tried the new settings for about a week and realized it was worse than it was before and I was sleeping better without the machine. I placed my first call on June 26 and asked to leave a message for Victoria but was quickly and abruptly transferred to someone named Chris who I had to leave a message for. Three days went by no return phone call so I called again on June 29. I told the person that answered the

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Sleep Therapy & Research Center
What does Sleep Therapy & Research Center do?
Sleep Therapy & Research Center is a sleep medicine clinic in San Antonio, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Sleep Therapy & Research Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Sleep Therapy & Research Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Sleep Therapy & Research Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Sleep Therapy & Research Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
