Had 2 sleep studies done here. Last one was in 2023. They treat you kindly and they are very clean and you have no problems relaxing in this place. The staff doing the studies are very knowledgeable and know their job well. Dont let the exterior of the location scare you away. The parking lot is empty late at night and early morning hours when you come and go from the facility. They will meet you at the door and unlock it right away and walk you into the clinic. The parking lot is well lit, empty and wide open. No one can sneak up on you or hide anywhere. Just be aware of your surroundings, as always and you will be fine. I would use this place again. This was my second visit.

I had an overnight procedure done here, and was very anxious and skeptical about going. Right from the start, nurse Kristine made me comfortable. She was able to calm my nerves and because of her kindness and understanding, I was actually able to fall asleep. Kristine went above and beyond for not only me, but for the 3 of us that were there. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and explains everything. She is very patient and honestly, if it wasnt for her, I prob would not have stayed for the whole study. The whole experience was interesting, to say the least, but I couldnt have done it of she wasnt my nurse.

Absolutely horrible staff. If you want to further worsen your sleep disorder, this is the place to go. I had a horrific experience as the staff was extremely rude, condescending arrogant and extremely self-absorbed, and not caring about the customer. They literally stood over me and verbally assaulted me in their tone and their lack of professionalism. They Also said the batteries might die On the sleep study equipmentand not to worry About it, as they most likely would last for the 4 or 6 hours. They then tell me that the doctor didn’t send notes they needed when they called this morning and my appointment was in the late afternoon and they didn’t bother to tell me that they would need to reschedule me so I offered to pay cash As that was the only way that they would see me. I was pleasantly surprised by this experience. I had done an overnight sleep study 7 years prior. I felt this one was much more comprehensive. The whole procedure was very professional. The facility is clean and I actually slept pretty well considering.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Restful Sleep Disorder Center
What does Restful Sleep Disorder Center do?
Restful Sleep Disorder Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Duarte, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Restful Sleep Disorder Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Restful Sleep Disorder Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Restful Sleep Disorder Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Restful Sleep Disorder Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
