Went here bc my daughter had an elevated heart rate that wouldn't come down. They did an ekg etc. They said it looked fine wated to check her lungs. They did an x ray and diagnosed her with bi lateral phemonia. ( she didn't have a fever and wasn't wheezing, the dr listen to her lungs before x ray, said sounded good). Wrote anti biotics then sent home with a follow up with your reg Dr. We follow up with Dr. She pulls up the x rays and the notes said insufficient picture. She wants us to get another x ray bc the breath wasnt held completely while taking x ray. This should have been caught right then and thier and re taken. The x ray technician while putting in them notes something. I just don't see how you can charge the insurance company and the patient for a picture thats insufficient. Bei

My mom was brought in by ambulance and ended up having a hairline fracture in her spine, I was with her during her incident. She was confused when she got there and told the dr that she never passed out and was fine despite needing CPR and having broken ribs. Youd think, with me there and able to explain, as well as the EMT and firefighter who also saw her pass out multiple times there wouldn't be much issue but the ER Doctor wouldnt believe me and kept dismissing and waving me off, refusing to even hear what happened. He had a nurse with him who also made snide remarks about "maybe that didnt happen and she just got hot.." but luckly(?) They had to do a CT scan because she hit her head on a wall and they saw the fracture on her spine. The actual hospital portion was wonderful but if she d

I’m here now with my significant other for a 5 hrs blood work. He has hip impingement and it’s very painful for him to sit on a regular chair for more than 10 minutes. This is going to be a terrible experience for the next 5 hours. It would be nice to have a room or at least a recliner. Perhaps this hospital can have a better sense for people’s disabilities.

I heard not so great things about this hospital so was hesitant to go but I’m glad I did. Everyone I came in contact with was super nice, friendly and helpful. The ED was clean and sanitary looking. I just needed a head CT and was in and out super quick and didn’t have long wait times for anything. Pleasantly surprised and would return.

I got attacked by a pittbull he tore me up. Dr Dixon did a heck of job stitching me up and putting my face back together. Im forever thankful for you. He was super supportive and made i sure I was ok the whole way through. His nurse that helped I think her name was Charlene maybe thank you both and keep up the great work. You are the ones that make a difference in this world. Thank you

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center
What does ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center do?
ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Monroe, MI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
