My wife has been receiving a negligent amount of care from the OB and urgent care departments! They are dismissing her post surgery issues because of things in her medical record from over a decade ago!! Saying she is pill seeking when she is actively saying she DOES NOT WANT PILLS. The staff here have to be senile from how they recieve and transmit information from us to our records because it is NEVER things we actually have said. It is unacceptable! I will 100% be escalating our case against Pella Regional staff! The only genuinely nice people here are the schedulers and they cant even provide medical help!! Its crazy!

I had a good experience giving birth to my daughter here. Most nurses were very nice. I thougth the nurse I talked to the first time i called labor and delivery was rude and she told me not to come in and I probably wouldnt have the baby for at least another week and it turns out that I had the baby that very day just a few hours later. I had to call labor and delivery again ant that nurse was nice and she said it would be perfectly fine to come in to get checked. The delivery room has a nice big jetted tub for the Mama. I think it is also very nice that they have a little area to go get drinks and snacks anytime with no extra charge.

The doctor showed up over an hour late for his scheduled appointment then spent the next 5 minutes discussing with his nurse about his weekend and how well it went until he ate a burrito that upset his stomach That's the reason he was late forgot all about the patient that was in the examination room waiting to see him listening to their conversation most unprofessional facility I've ever visited

My daughter has been going to the clinic for all her OB appointments and it has been a great experience for her. She gave birth on August 23 and I must say the OB staff were amazing. The nurses were very attentive and so good with her from start to finish. I was very nervous as she is so young, but my worries quickly faded after I met the team. It was a long hard labor and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. I don't think we would have gotten a better experience any where else!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center
What does Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center do?
Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Pella, IA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Pella Regional Health Center Sleep Disorder Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
