STEER CLEAR of this location if you care about your life. Ever since Jack Payne left this place has went way down the drain. When rescheduling the light skinned black lady is absolutely rude and snarky. The front desk lady that does check ins is one of the most rude, disrespect and inconsiderate people I have ever encountered in any service industry. I called to tell her I didn't get the telehealth link for my appointment and the things she said to me were so out of line my jaw dropped and her tone got increasingly rude as the call went on. Palmetto Primary Care Physicians you all should be absolutely embarrassed and ashamed. She need to be terminated IMMEDIATELY. Keep in mind I already paid my co-pay with no service so I was pretty much robbed of $30 by this office. Needless to say I call

I like this doctor’s office a lot. The nurses and doctors are wonderful. Unfortunately, the older women who always works the front desk is very unpleasant and makes me feel extremely uncomfortable every visit I’ve had. My visit today was so bad that when the nurse took me back she commented on how high my heart rate was. The front desk women had left me so anxious it was noticeable so I was honest. The nurse helping me was amazing and made me feel comfortable again. I just notice a lot of your bad reviews are about the women at the front desk making patients uncomfortable. So it is a reoccurring issue. Thank you. My visit was great otherwise.

The providers at this practice are excellent and truly care about their patients. Unfortunately, the front office experience is the opposite. Calls often go unanswered, callbacks are inconsistent, and communication relies too heavily on voicemail. The patient portal is outdated and frustrating to use. While the medical care is outstanding, the administrative staff and communication systems need significant improvement to match the quality of the providers.

I will not be going back. I called yesterday and today to get some advice on taking a over the counter medication with my prescription medication to see if it was safe. I was told I would get a call back both times but got nothing. I'd be better off at the VA.

Overall, the nurses and nurse practitioners were fantastic, kind and caring! The office was very clean and well maintained. HOWEVER, Kerry (or however you spell it) was beyond rude! She told us we had a copay so I handed her my card before my husband realized we shouldn’t have a copay. He showed her on the insurance website where it says we shouldn’t have a copay and she shoves my card towards me, rolls her eyes and snarkily says “well when you get a bill in the mail you have to pay it”. We got nothing but attitude and rudeness from this lady and it was completely uncalled for! We did report this and was told by 2 other members of staff that there have been multiple complaints made against her this past week! Hope something is done about this before anyone else has to catch her attitude.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office

What does Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office do?

Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office is a sleep medicine clinic in Goose Creek, SC that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Crowfield Office?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
