Decent bed with a medium firmness. Amenities like a shower to wash the adhesive gel off in the morning which was great. Max is a great dude. Excellent conversation and very knowledgeable in the field and very professional. But will not tolerate any farts whatsoever. 10/10 would definitely have taco John's before another sleep study again

Arrived at the clinic, signed in online via the app, got a call < 5 mins later to enter. From the time I arrived until the time I left, I knew I was being taken care of. Eric the Young was a terrific host and technician. As a curious person, I had many questions and none of them could phase Eric the Young. He was extremely knowledegable, personable and professional. That combined with the comfortable room and large solo bathroom/shower, I'd say it was comparable to a King Suite. Not a presidential suite but definitely a premium comforting experience. Thank you to Eric TY and the staff for your service and your 24/7 attendance. For those prepping to go in, fyi there will be a ton of wires and you may feel initially that there's no way you can sleep being wired up like R2D2 but worry not, y

My first visit was very good and the Inspire device is wonderful. That's the end results because after one of the PA people checked my incisions for healing and getting my device turn on. I have NEVER NEVER NEVER heard from the so called medical company for any follow-up which is required. Supposedly, the Burnsville clinic is my connection and I have never heard from them either. Thank God that by accident my smartwatch is giving me the information that makes sense of my results. This so called Sleep clinic gets a 5 rating for selling a great device, explaining and surgery. A 0 rate for follow-up.

Seth was an awesome host/Tech. It was nice talking with him as I was winding down for bed. He explained everything clearly and made me feel welcome. The amenities were like a decent hotel. Options for a noise maker, fan, and a large comfy bed. You get your own bathroom with towels, soap, and a shower. If you're skeptical about getting a sleep study done, don't be. These guys are pro at making you feel comfy and dignified.

Had my first experience with a sleep study last night. Despite all of the information I received from the Sleep Center in the passed couple of weeks, I continued to wonder just how all of this was going to "be." From the moment I walked into the Center, greeted by Mariah, I knew that it was going to be "OK". After completing a brief form and stopping by a mini-bar to select a beverage, fruit, or a snack, I was ushered into my suite. I was immediately at ease with such things as the ambience, the level of privacy, and the convenience of a private bathroom. In addition, I had the option of aromatherapy! Meeting and working with Eric, the technician, throughout the night was the icing on the cake. He was professional, informative, patient, and kind. Everything was thoroughly explained. He w

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about North Memorial Sleep Health Center

What does North Memorial Sleep Health Center do?

North Memorial Sleep Health Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Maple Grove, MN that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at North Memorial Sleep Health Center?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact North Memorial Sleep Health Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at North Memorial Sleep Health Center?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at North Memorial Sleep Health Center?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
