I had an appointment with Dr. Judith Yu today. My son n i both thought the wait would be extended so we came prepared with lunch for him to eat while I awaits for my visit. However the whole entire process from arrival.to check-in, to the actual visit and then checkout was faster than we had anticipated. The staff were very friendly. The office were big, clean and very airy. Not congested like most doctors offices. Dr. Judith personally was very attentive and asking me many questions to get to know more in depth about my condition. I felt very appreciated and that my visit were well taken care of. Thank u Dr. Yu and staffs.

New to Nevada, so all new healthcare team. The people here were very nice. This provider listened intently to my issues and even though I was referred for one thing to her, I told her of other neurological issues. I now have additional testing to handle all my concerns. She is fast and efficient

My main problem is them gatekeeping my EMG/NCS results. They have a whole patient portal that is not updated with any of my medical records. When I told them I am moving out of state, they refused to accommodate me with a virtual visit or phone visit to interpret and review my results with me. I understand cross-state licensing telehealth guidelines can impact this, but I am still entitled to results and health records. They insisted I have to come in when I told them that is not physically possible. I have messaged on their portal, called multiple times, and no one can help me with my continuity of care. I did all these examinations and no one is helping me with getting the results, so I can get the treatment I need. I think they care about me getting treatment with them and making more m

Everyone is professional and nice. The doctor (Dr. Marites Pilapil) is kind and listens to me in order to help me. My appointment time was accurate so I didn't have to wait. Which is great because sometimes going to the doctor is a chore. The waiting area wasn't crowded either. Nice facility 😊

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Neurology Center of Nevada
What does Neurology Center of Nevada do?
Neurology Center of Nevada is a sleep medicine clinic in Henderson, NV that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Neurology Center of Nevada?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Neurology Center of Nevada directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Neurology Center of Nevada?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Neurology Center of Nevada?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
