I went here on a Monday evening and did my sleep study per request of my doctor and everyone there was very nice . The woman whom I had was excellent and me treated respectfully. they have all the amenities they have a sound machine , they have a circulating cooling fan , they also had a full bathroom with shower and a handicapped shower chair if needed , also have full-size beds which are very comfortable and brand new pillows which are very soft and comfortable. They have a desk and chair too. Also TV, and you can sit up in bed . Then they hook you up to your wires in different areas on your head and on your leg and then they would strap everything together. If you needed anything just asked for it and if they have it , they will give it to you. The beds were very comfortable, I did

The staff very nice. They are very gentle when setting you up for the sleep study. The room very clean. It's like a hotel room . The bed very uncomfortable. Lord was that bed uncomfortable bad enough I had all them wires connected but it was necessary to get the test done. I got woken up just in time. The noise from the gym downstairs was just starting.I would highly recommend them. .Just bring a thick comforter to put on the bed before you lay down.

I had a scheduled sleep study that would require me to be there for 24 hours. I was told a few weeks later my appointment I waited months for, was cancelled. I had to call and ask why it was cancelled. They told me initially my insurance wants the referral on hold until the new year. I kept trying to call after the new year and couldn’t get connected to someone and the line kept coming back busy. Finally got in touch with someone and they further explained that they are not able to schedule until the insurance companies work out an agreement/contract. I waited weeks just to hear they can’t schedule me until insurance works out things with this location. It’s very difficult to get sooner appointments for sleep studies so it would have been great to know what was fully going on. I shouldn’t

Wonderful staff. Incredibly friendly. I'm greatful for their help. My only complaint is it can be a noisy facility, with a gym on one side and a jazzercize studio on the other. The gym stops a bit after 10, and the music starts at 5 am. Just be prepared for it. It can get a little loud and thumpy from people working out. The beds are also somewhat uncomfortable, but then again it's not a 5 star hotel. Great people tho!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Milford Regional Sleep Center
What does Milford Regional Sleep Center do?
Milford Regional Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Milford, MA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Milford Regional Sleep Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Milford Regional Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Milford Regional Sleep Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Milford Regional Sleep Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
