Dr Srinet has good office manners and, in my experience, does minor diagnostic procedures with minimum discomfort. He is friendly and efficient. The offices are clean and neat. The staff is very friendly and efficient

I had been experiencing throat pain and thought I was going into the office with a minor problem. Dr. Lesko was thorough and figured out I had something much more serious going on. He did two biopsies over two weeks, personally contacted the labs to rush the process, and kept in frequent communication with me. Chandra was an amazing point person and she helped alleviate my fears. Within two weeks I had a diagnosis and was in treatment the following week. My prognosis is good because the lymphoma was caught early. I will always be grateful they went above and beyond for a brand new patient.

Dr. David Lesko did a wonderful job relating to our 3 yr old’s lymphnode issue. He performed the surgery then to remove the node and we have been very pleased with the end results. We highly recommend his services as well as his nurse Chandra! She did a wonderful job too. Thank you both so much!

Doctor and staff have been very friendly. My only complaint was that I was made to pay a VERY VERY large amount up-front for my very first visit and found out that all I really needed to pay was my 30.00 dollar co-pay. I'm not sure who's mistake it was, office or insurance, but it was a lot of money that I now have to wait to be refunded. No complaints other than that.

I am VERY unhappy with the "care" I received here. My esophagus is the size of a drinking straw, and I have a deviated septum. My first appointment sounded promising and like I would get answers. I was given a nasal spray to do, and finish before my appointment which was this last Friday. At this appointment he asked how/if it worked. I said it seemed to help, but not much. He asked if it worked 20-25% and when I said no, he THEN proceeded to say "I'm not surprised, IT'S A PLACEBO." I then asked about fixing my septum. He says "It's normal. We all have one, use a saline solution." Then walks out, not letting me say anything else. I will NEVER go back here, and I won't be referring peoplppe to this place

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates

What does Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates do?

Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates is a sleep medicine clinic in Mt. Vernon, IL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Midwest Sinus, Sleep & Allergy Associates?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
