Dr. Jessica Stark performed a complex, multi-level ACDF (C5-C7) and posterior spinal fusion (C2-T2) on my family member, and the results have been an absolute success. Her incredible surgical skill combined with her clear, comforting communication gave our family complete confidence throughout this intensive process. We are forever grateful to Dr. Stark for her life-changing expertise and highly recommend her to anyone facing intricate spinal surgery.

This review is based on my sister's brief ICU stay before she ultimately passed last year. She had been to several hospitals during her leukemia battle. Out of all of them, the ICU nurses at Memorial were the most caring, compassionate nurses we experienced. Although she was at the end of her journey and no longer responsive, they made sure to keep her clean and advocated for her until the very end. When she was finally pronounced, the nurses all came in and I saw a few of them crying...for a patient they had only been taking care of for 3 days. I truly wish my sister had been to this hospital when she was first diagnosed, but God knows. I'm truly grateful this was the final stop of her journey. Blessings to the ICU staff that gave her such great care.

My mother is in MICU in Sarfim bldg. upon visiting her, I was livid to see the conditions her room in!!! The respiratory tech was doing his business like this is normal! We waited 20 minutes before her nurse arrived, and we had already addressed this to another personnel! We were told they would notify housekeeping, and we were there over an hour and still nothing was done! The attending nurse said the room was like that when she came on shift. It must’ve been the attending doctors that left the room in the condition that it was in.! yet, if she came in on shift, why wasn’t it addressed ASAP to get taken care of? She did what she could and like I said no housekeeping came while we were there and when we left. There was a personnel that passed by the room, like it was mentioned and laughed

5/5 Stars – Exceptional Care for Microdiscectomy at Memorial Hermann I recently underwent microdiscectomy surgery at Memorial Hermann, and I cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. From pre-op preparation to my post-operative recovery, every single person involved in my care demonstrated extraordinary professionalism, clinical expertise, and genuine compassion. The surgical team and doctors were outstanding. They took the time to explain every detail of the procedure, answered all my questions with complete clarity, and provided the reassurance and confidence I needed heading into surgery. The nurses and support staff were equally incredible. They were incredibly attentive, prompt with pain management and check-ins, and kept me guided through every step of recovery. What tr

Dipan was so helpful yesterday when my sister and I were trying to find our way to the DeBakey Museum. He took the time to look up directions on our phone and tell us how to get there. He was very pleasant to chat with. I’m taking the time to review him because he took the time to make our visit worthwhile.

Frequently asked questions about Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center
What does Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center do?
Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Houston, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center-Texas Medical Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
