I’m going to be very honest—I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt like I needed to because my experience was nothing like some of the reviews I read from people who stayed here three years ago. Everything was remodeled, clean, and well-maintained. I can’t blame the staff for me not being able to sleep because that’s just me—I wasn’t at home or in my own bed. I do recommend bringing your own pillow and blanket to make yourself as comfortable as possible, although they do provide a pillow and hospital blankets. Nurse Riza was such an angel. She was welcoming, kind, and made sure I was well taken care of throughout my stay. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better nurse. I did have to walk down the hallway to use the restroom, but the bathrooms were clean, so I didn’t mind the short

Weird sketchy office in a huge sky scraper building. The only person there was a young male technician no doctors or anything. There were 2 other patients having it done at the same time. I got there at 8pm by the time my paperwork was done and the guy put all my wires on it was almost 10. There's a camera in the room but I was told it doesn't work in pray thats true. And if you needed to use the bathroom you may to walk all out of the office and down the hall to by the elevators which in the middle of the night is pretty sketchy. He never turned my TV off once I fell asleep so I ended up waking up to the brightness so I shut it off had trouble falling back to sleep from the lights from the machines in the corner in the 3nd photo so I ended up putting a pillow partly over my face. when I g

Two stars since parking was at least included and the employee was nice. It was probably the worst sleep I’ve had in a while. You can’t get an accurate sleep study done here. The temperature control is either too cold with the air conditioner and thin blankets or too hot when the air conditioner is off. Mattress was sitting on the floor. Neighbors were blasting TV that kept me up as well. I didn’t sleep that night.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about MedNet Medical Services
What does MedNet Medical Services do?
MedNet Medical Services is a sleep medicine clinic in Encino, CA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at MedNet Medical Services?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact MedNet Medical Services directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at MedNet Medical Services?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at MedNet Medical Services?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
