Brought my Mother-in-law in Saturday August 8th to the emergency room. They admitted her. Tuesday they were keeping track of her fluid in take. That would be the picture of the orange paper. Nobody puts their initials so you don't know who or when she had what. Thursday I saw something black under the chair in the corner. It was men's dirty underwear.🤬 So far not very impressed!!!

I saw Dr. Tandan's PA and she was wonderful. She carefully reviewed my latest blood test and was a very good listener. She explained some things to me and arranged for some future (at home) testing to follow up. I was very impressed with her.

Terrible. I have surgery in 5 days and I was sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours while my intestines that needed put together were being ripped at by a blockage, putting my surgery at risk because they can't learn to prioritize. Not enough space in the emergency room plus they're understaffed and the staff they do have consists half of people who need shadowed still. Incredibly slow responses to call bells, they WILL forget about you if you don't nag constantly. There's an occasional good employee but it's so rare I wouldn't expect much. As much as I don't want to come off inconsiderate, rude or vindictive as I know the struggle it can be when they're busy, that doesn't change the fact it could all be avoided if it was ran more like a hospital and less like a frat party.

This place is a joke, they are supposed to be emergencies according to severity. I will say one thing, they do not consider cellulitis an emergency. Had my dad there for severe cellulitis in his hand, I actually physically watched his hand swell more and more and well. If you don't know what it is, it is a massive bacterial infection that attacks the soft tissue and can travel to other parts of your body, such as you heart and brain. Meadville needs to do something about medical care, not more places to eat. I am sorry but colds and flu symptoms are not emergency and should be referred to urgent care, especially when the ER is backed up.

I had a spinal fusion surgery at the Meadville medical center at the the Liberty Street Hospital and I couldn't be happier. All the way from Dr. Ghassibi to the nursing staff all of them are great! Everyone was friendly and caring. The food is really good as well. There are no complaints on the my end. If you need surgery I highly recommend Meadville medical center. Thank you all for taking such good care of me.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Meadville Medical Center
What does Meadville Medical Center do?
Meadville Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Meadville, PA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Meadville Medical Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Meadville Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Meadville Medical Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Meadville Medical Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
