I arrived by ambulance and spent 4 days last week mostly in ICU. The care I received was phenomenal from the minute I arrived. The first night in intermediate care, the night nurse had his hands full and treated me with such compassion! I wish I could remember his name. Had I not been there in his care and the admitting doctor, I would have died. He diagnosed me with anaplasmosis from a tick bite I was unaware of and I was scooted up to ICU in the morning. The nurses there, especially the daytime charge nurse Lydia, and nighttime charge nurses, Tyler and Pam could not have been any better in terms of professional skill and gentle compassion…as if they were treating their own family member. The hospitalist, Dr Rus, carefully explained my diagnosis and answered all my questions. Even the

Debated for three days whether or not to come in because my experience with urgent or emergency care always felt like just a bandaid. Things got bad, urgent care was closed so emergency room it was. I was seen immediately, thorough testing was done and ended up needing a blood transfusion. I didn’t catch everyone’s name, but Nurse Ray was phenomenal. Kept my mom and I informed the whole time, answered all of our questions, wheeled in a reclining chair for my mom, offered to whip us up some dinner (thought he was kidding) but as soon as I was cleared to eat he dropped off a few things for me and even left a little dessert outside the door on our way out. It was a super scary experience but Ray and the staff all made it so much better. Thank you guys so much.

We are new to the area and tried both Aspirus and Marshfield and can say we have not had great care with either, but what tipped the scale towards Aspirus the most was the three hours we sat in the emergency room waiting only to have several people called back before us and even watched a poor girl with a cut sit and wait almost as long as us!!! We will be trying Aspirus again to see if it goes better this time as we are over Marshfield as a whole!

I needed an emergency surgery on a SUNDAY almost 3 months ago. I went into the ER at 7:30 in the morning and was in surgery by 10:30. Dr. Petronovich explained everything to me in detail. I was there for four days. He checked on me in person twice a day. The nurses and CNA's were amazing along with dietary and housekeeping. I just recently had another medical issue on a Saturday afternoon. I was taken into a room right away and given excellent care. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from going there.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab

What does Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab do?

Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab is a sleep medicine clinic in Weston, WI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Marshfield Medical Center Weston Sleep Lab?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
