I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hospital. I waited for over 6 hours without receiving the care I needed. After sitting in the waiting room for that long with little to no communication about the delay, I finally decided to walk out. The er front desk staff is the worst group of ladies and should be replaced!!! I understand that emergencies can affect wait times, but waiting over six hours without clear updates or a reasonable estimate is unacceptable. Patients deserve better communication and more timely care. I hope the hospital addresses its staffing and patient flow issues so others don’t have to go through the same frustrating experience. I wanted to give 0 stars but it wouldn’t let me

Lankenau Hospital drs are over cautious and more working toward the hospitals bottom line rather than the patients interest. Over the past 3 days I have been lied to twice by the drs here. When I was admitted the ER dr told me that if I did not want to stay after the first day that I could sign myself out the next day. Lie number one. The hospital team came in and told me this morning that I would be discharged by 1:30 Lie number two. Now im being told I won't be discharged till late this afternoon. The communication between staff sucks. I've asked for things and dont ever get them. (Not nurses fault) The doctors here seem just to be after billable hours the caring about a patients time. There were 6 drs in my room this late morning. One of them could have processed my discharge and whoev

If I could give no stars to this incompetent hospital, I would. My wife brought me here because it was the closest hospital to where we were and it was the most terrible experience I've ever had. I arrived in the emergency room and was taken into triage. The nurses drew blood, an x-ray, and I continued to wait in the emergency area. One of the nurses said she would run a line for an IV and it was never done. When they took me to the back and placed me in the room, no one came in to introduce themselves other than one nurse that did my registration and gave me a few sheets because I was cold. She offered my wife something to drink but never returned. Three hours later after my mother arrived from New Jersey and spoke to someone in the hallway, a nurse came in to say she needed to take more

To everyone on 3 South, I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart and soul for the incredible care you gave me over the last few days. Everyone I came in contact with had such a kind, caring, and uplifting spirit. During one of the hardest times in my life, your compassion, encouragement, and genuine kindness gave me strength and hope. Thank you to everyone who helped save my life, prayed over me, and took the time to talk with me. Those conversations and acts of kindness meant more to me than you'll ever know. From housekeeping and dietary to the nurses, doctors, the Heart Cardiology team, and the cardiology students—thank you all for your compassion, professionalism, and outstanding care. You made me feel seen, heard, valued, and truly cared for every step of

I wanted to share an email I sent to Terry (Patient Advocate) at Lankenau Hospital - never received a response. So I am hoping someone from the hospital will see this!!!!! Terry, I am writing to provide an update and to formally express my serious concerns. My brother, William Greenwood, passed away on April 6, 2026 just one month after being discharged from Lankenau Medical Center. In the time since his passing, I have reflected deeply on the circumstances surrounding his discharge. I remain profoundly troubled by the actions of the care team, specifically Charge Nurse Mary A. (2 Rosengarten) and social workers Allison L. and Patricia H. who in our view, placed undue pressure on my brother to return to a nursing facility where he had clearly and repeatedly expressed that he did not fe

For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Lankenau Medical Center
What does Lankenau Medical Center do?
Lankenau Medical Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Wynnewood, PA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Lankenau Medical Center?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Lankenau Medical Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Lankenau Medical Center?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Lankenau Medical Center?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
