We waited in the ER with my 84 year old mother-in-law for over 2 hours and the waiting room was extremely dirty. There was food on the floor in the ER. After she was finally seen we were surprised by the overall poor moral of the employees. We had several that complained about the poor condition of equipment. We were also not contacted in regard to my mother-in-laws care despite the fact that she has dementia and my husband has medical power of attorney. One person even said well she signed yesterday when I said my husband would sign for her, only to have her hand it to my husband when she was unable to sign. We were not happy overall. There were some wonderful nurses that took care of her though and we were happy for her sake.

Really amazed at the quality of care I received! We had a good ole snow storm with some dangerously cold nights. I was walking and slipped on some ice. I managed to land on some concrete rebar whilst falling. Pretty good injury was some nasty bleeding! Needless to say, I went to the Emergency Room around lunchtime Sunday! The security officer was professional and courteous and guided me in the right direction. I was truly amazed at how efficiently the admission process went. I then was taken back, and the care began. The admission lady was also very welcoming, she’s definitely the sweetest. Tori, my nurse was really friendly and very attentive, super knowledgeable and caring. The doc was really nice and quick to find a solution. While in a bit of pain, we managed to have a really nice co

I went into the E.R the morning of June second, the nurse that was drawing the blood for the patients, stung my arm, I said you missed as I felt the sting. She said no I didn't as she pulled it back to readjust the needle then pushed it back in. "Look there's blood coming out." Lady here's the proof. Then she got food delivered to the front went to get it,and dropped the bag on the ground. 😆

I have lived in Billings for 6 years now and used this Emergency Department maybe a handful of times. Everytime they are rude and condescending. Today I was sent there by my Pulmonologist to have a CT scan done because of concerning symptoms. The nurse was cold hardly speaking a word to me and I asked her not to use my left arm for my IV she did anyway. The Dr. Was worse when he came into the room he was visibly irritated already and when he found out why I was there he started going off about how these specialists keep sending their patients to the ER instead of doing their jobs themselves. Also snapping at my answers to his questions. Im already nervous about what's going on with me I did not need to be treated like this as well. A little professionalism and bedside manner go along way.

They will mess up your appointments and try to blame it on you highly recommend not coming here they have messed up my 20 week ultrasound 2 times now im currently turning 22 weeks before anyone questions how they messed it up they didnt give me an address, the front office told us the wrong room, they sent emails and messages of the wrong time i was supposed to be there so they gave up my spot plus delt with trying to find a parking spot which also made us late. Im not the only one who has experienced this another older couple told me this happens all the time... that shouldn't be normal this hospital needs to get their stuff together so unless you want to have issues i recommend NOT coming here.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital

What does Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital do?

Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital is a sleep medicine clinic in Billings, MT that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
