When you are a good patient, understand the late charge, no show policy, and are kind to staff there isn't an issue at all. My family has been with this practice since I was born and now I'm 40, my children go here and my cousins. They are strict with me as well and I pay the fees and make sure I'm 10 mins early. Just like people want Drs to be available we as people need to respect others and help keep offices running smoothly. Can't make it? Call. Running late? Call. Please be kind and courteous to those that put their life and health on the line to help get us better.

Came here with my husband after he got into a car accident. Waited for 2 hours and nobody called for him. While waiting, we noticed there was a very inappropriate show on the TV (adult content). After asking 3 employees to change it, it took over 30 minutes! even though there were children around! very unprofessional! no one even called for my husband, we left for another urgent care where he was properly treated within reasonable time.

Terrible experience. I will not be going back. I had lab services done and made an appointment which was not honored. Then when they told me to go back some old lady with dyed blonde hair started being incredibly rude to me when the check in staff told me to go over there. She was supposed to get off at 9:45am and blew up when I asked if I was coming up. Not professional, rude, and overall made me want to leave without getting it done. Which is not right from a patient standpoint. I wish I got her name but I would watch out for her. She will treat you terribly when it’s her job to be kind to patients. Also, when I said I couldn’t hear her she said I was being rude bc of her Bell’s palsy which I don’t even know causes hearing loss or that she had it. Overall don’t come here you’ll be waiti

I just can't get quality care at this location. Staff being very loud when talking to you like you're hard of hearing. Complaining that you are calling for assistance to frequently. Staff leaving you at restrooms and forgetting to tell you pull the cord I'll come. I complained to a supervisor about the care and oh boy the nurse mentioned that to me. Are we in high school gossip ? The security guard at check in said this place is dead right now. I was right by the intake door and I didn't see loads of people coming in. If a nurse has to say that they have other patients to deal with, which I am fully aware of already, but I have to use the restroom and I have to be attended when I do 🤷. Hire more nurses assistants and over staff so you don't have a nurse unplug your heart monit

All 3 of us (Papa, Grandma & 21 yo special needs granddaughter) were seen together for our not feeling well. 3 of us with sinus symptoms/cough/cold/flu type symptoms/sore throats with 3 very different diagnosises - 1 with STREP & with antibiotic, 1 with COPD exacerbation & Different antibiotic & finally 1 with VIRAL URI to treat symptoms till cleared up. Little tight in exam room but by keeping us together made my understanding of everyone's problems, treatments & interrogation of medical lingo easier for us all. Thanks to staff for understanding the need to see us together & getting us back on track.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown
What does Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown do?
Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown is a sleep medicine clinic in Brownstown, MI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Henry Ford Sleep Center - Brownstown?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
