I cannot say enough good things about my rheumatologist, Dr. Dona Poulose, and my primary care physician, Dr. Neha Ghalib, MD, at Genesis Medical Center. In a healthcare system where appointments can often feel rushed, these two doctors stand out. They take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and make you feel like more than just a patient. From the moment you walk in, you feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Poulose has been incredibly compassionate and thorough in helping me navigate my rheumatology journey. She listens carefully, explains things clearly, and works with me to find the best treatment options rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Dr. Ghalib, as my primary care physician, has been equally amazing. She is attentive, caring, and always w

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding support I received during my recent lab visit. English is not my first language, and I was trying to request additional blood work, but I did not know the correct medical terms. Alba Miranda, a nurse from the lab, was extremely kind, patient, and professional. She took the time to listen carefully, understand my concerns, and go above and beyond to help me. She even checked my chart and communicated with Dr. Lance Picard to explain that I wanted to have my hormone levels tested, which was not included in my annual lab order. I have rarely experienced this level of dedication and compassion in medical care. Ms. Miranda made me feel heard and supported, and her willingness to help truly made a difference. I would also like

My mom never heard back from the office. She never gets her meds because they never call the pharmacist back. LITERALLY, no one calls my mom back. Dr Radway she LOVES but the staff never calls her back. She needed an inhaler 2 months ago. I just got one for her. She literally doesn’t even try now. She is so upset with how she gets treated. 2 stars because she does love Dr. Radway but wow! Imagine a medical place not helping you at all.

I don't recommend Dr Ebai. After two appointments, it felt like visiting with me was a hassle for him. Like he couldn't wait for me to stop talking. He never gave a recommended path to recovery, just asked me what I wanted to do. After going to a different doctor today, I realized just how poor Dr Ebai handled my injury both from a customer service and recovery standpoint. Turns out that Dr Ebai had prescribed an ineffective medication based on my MRI results. Can't speak for the other providers there, but avoid him if a quick recovery from a doctor who cares is what you're after.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Genesis Medical Group
What does Genesis Medical Group do?
Genesis Medical Group is a sleep medicine clinic in Spring, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Genesis Medical Group?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Genesis Medical Group directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Genesis Medical Group?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Genesis Medical Group?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
