I want to sincerely thank the amazing pre-op and recovery teams at Garden City Hospital for the outstanding care they gave my son during his surgery experience. A special thank you to Lori (RN) and Tisha (Tech) on the pre-op team for being so kind, patient, and reassuring before surgery. They helped calm our nerves and treated my son with genuine compassion and professionalism from the moment we arrived. I also want to recognize Colleen (RN) and Brian (Tech) from the recovery team for the wonderful care they provided afterward. They were attentive, caring, and made sure my son was comfortable and well taken care of during recovery. The kindness, and professionalism shown by all four of these staff members truly meant so much to our family. Thank you for going above and beyond and for ma

Jessie A is the BEST!!!! She got my IV in with no problems!! Very polite, friendly and to be frank out of all the doctor's which I appreciate.... She was the only one working hard while I watched the doctor's sit in their chairs or talking to one another instead of helping the RN's and it was busy..... Doctor's have y'all heard of TEAM WORK... Don't think y'all are to good to help!!! Anyway... Keep up the fantastic work Jessie A!! We appreciate YOU!!! ❤️

Don't tell the ER you have anxiety because they will dismiss all your symptoms and discharge you without doing additional investigation or testing. They literally put reasons for visit that are not what I told them and weren't relevant to why I was at the ER. That being said, the tech Michael that did my ECG and vitals was phenomenal. He was pleasant, gentle and informative. If it weren't for him and a couple other staff members I would've had a way worse impression of the GC ER.

I just wanted to express my gratitude 💝🙏 💝for the entire ER and Imagine department here ,I had to come in earlier today unable to breath, walk ect and I was treated with the utmost respect and care during my entire stay ,Thankfully they found out I have "Walking Pneumonia " after doing CT scans and xrays and bloodwork, I am also what they call a " BAD STICK " meaning my veins were deep and rolling ,but the gentleman nurse talked me through it and he was successful upon the first poke ,and I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW INCREDIBLY HAPPY I WAS , it's usually a very bad experience for me ,but I'm very thankful for him and his team mates , it was soooo refreshing to be treated as a human being instead of a robot , They ALL were 💯 % on their game !!!!! I will remember them All in my prayers tonight

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL
What does GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL do?
GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL is a sleep medicine clinic in Garden City, MI that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
