Absolutely horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. I arrived for a walk in at 7:45pm. I filled out the electronic forms for check in but they were broken so I had to verbally explain my insurance and HIPPA to the front desk. Once I got a room, I was kept there until they closed. I could hear employees leaving and it would seem they forgot about me. A shameful institute to say the least. While the staff was nice, but it truly was a waste of time.

Went to FV Urgent Care late afternoon for extreme pain in foot after dropping heavy object on it. Received prompt excellent care. Mr. Sandeep Atwal, FNP was very gentle, listened carefully, took time with his evaluation of my foot, and gave me very helpful advice. The Xray tech was very careful and gentle and also showed me how to correctly use crutches, (He was tall, dark & handsome with a beard, but unfortunately, I do not recall his name). My only suggestion would be that the front desk receptionist could try smiling when she talks to patients as they are checking in. She was very efficient and helpful but never once cracked a smile. A small criticism perhaps, but first impressions can be lasting impressions. I like this facility very much so I want them to continue to be success

All the women I came in contact with were very polite and pleasant. If I had a question they looked up right away to find out what it was and see what they could do. I did not have an appointment, just came in, my wait time was very considerate. The woman who was my doctor asked many questions and checked areas she thought were associated. She also gave me an office I could try for a specialty doctor which I was very thankful for it was a good experience

My wife had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. From the moment the provider walked in, she remained standing by the door and immediately said “How can I help you?” in a tone that came across as rude and dismissive, rather than welcoming or professional. The entire interaction felt rushed and uncomfortable. Instead of taking the time to properly engage, she questioned my wife from the doorway without making any effort to create a respectful or supportive environment. My wife is not originally from this country, and it was clear there was no patience or understanding shown during the visit. The tone and approach felt cold and disrespectful, which is unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and treated with basic dignity. Unfortunately,

They were rushing because it was close to closing time. I am still waiting on results from my xray.. I even called this morning, was told I would receive the results by email as well as receive a call back in 30mins! The doctor Brenda Jefferson-Bryd went back and forth with me over what pharmacy I wanted to use… I kept telling her I don’t know which is a 24hr so pick one. She kept arguing and demanding a specific location. They were no help to what I went for. I was never asked any medical questions prior to me being seen. The clinic was very ghetto! I will never return nor reccomend!

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care

What does Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care do?

Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care is a sleep medicine clinic in Aurora, IL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Fox Valley Primary & Immediate Care?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
