My appointment was for 730pm. I showed up with my mom at 7pm and no one was there. The door was locked and not one employee on site. We waited with 4 other scheduled patients and nothing. We decided to leave at 9pm., after 2 hours of waiting outside. Monday morning we will be reporting it to CarePlus in hopes they review your credentialing privileges and know how you treat their members. These are elderly patients on a colder than usual evening waiting outside. The lack of professionalism and care for your patients is obvious. Emergencies can happen, but anyone could’ve reached out to these scheduled patients. Do not schedule your sleep study here unless you want to risk making arrangements and wasting your time.

I had called this place and provided all documentation. My appointment was set 2 weeks so they can get the authorization. Friday about 6 days before my appt I had called to see if they got authorization and can move my appt up. They explained the fees. With my insurance I have a deductible. I explained to the lady multiple times. And finally she said she would give my insurance provider a call and try to solve it. They basically just look at the computer system. Today . 2 days before I called them and got the billing department who was helping answer phones. She had no clue what I was talking about and also discussed have a deductible. I told them if they called the back of my card my insurance provider will gladly tell them I have paid my deductible. I went through the same dialogue I did

I am rating them a 1 because there is no option to give them a 0. I had my sleep study done on 4/7. They said they would send the results to my doctor. My primary physician never got the results and when I called Florida Sleep & Neuro the lady said that their doctor forgot to review and had not sent to my primary physician. Terrible service and experience, if I had never followed up I would be still waiting. Now over a month and still my second test has not been scheduled. This is a very serious condition and their lack of follow through is unacceptable. Do not recommend this facility. The lady then has the audacity to tell me that they are not responsible for sending the test results to my doctor or following up. Really? Then who is responsible for ensuring that my test results

I am speechless. First, I had to drive over an hour for my appointment, and when I got to the facility, no staff had showed up to work that night. Once I finally got my study done, my results were delayed by 2 weeks because they "forgot" to process my results. Now, no one is responding to my phone calls and no one is communicating with my primary doctor. I have contact the sleep center itself, as well as the owner of the company, via phone and email many times. I have yet to receive a response. The lack of customer service is astonishing.

I have had Sleep Apnea for about 10 years and needed to replace a CPAP machine that was no longer working. My doctor told me I needed to have an updated sleep study. So I made an appointment with this facility because they were down the street from my house and accepted my insurance. I was told that I MUST be there by 7:30pm. SO I arrived shortly before that time. They took my into "my" room for the night and told me someone would be in shortly. There was a TV, but it didn't work. I sat in the room for three hours and finally at 10:30, they came in to prep me for my study. It took me over two hours to get to sleep because the staff was carrying on loud conversations, laughing, etc outside the room. I guess they forgot where they work. Fast forward... as I write this, it is almost three wee

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics
What does Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics do?
Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics is a sleep medicine clinic in Plantation, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostics?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
