Dr Michael wen was incredibly kind friendly, and wonderful with my son. My children felt comfortable with him right away, and they actually enjoyed their visit.which is the first time they have ever felt this way about going to the doctor! He has such a warm gentle and fun way of connecting with kids. We truly appreciate how caring and patient he was. Highly recommend ❤️ 😍

I have mixed feelings on leaving this review because we've had some good experiences here as well as some less than great ones but our last visit to the allergy clinic at this location was the tipping point and we won't be returning. My son has several food allergies so we come to this department at least once a year. Most of the staff in the allergy department seems very friendly and capable of working with children however there is one nurse named Christine who is an absolute nightmare and has effectively ran us off from this clinic. My first interaction with her was over a year ago. My husband had recently switched jobs so our insurance had changed. I had updated it in are my chart and also at the front desk however when she was going through the files and our actual exam room it was sh

I am so grateful for every staff and team member at Dayton Children’s South. I especially want to give kudos to RN Amanda in the ER. She was very patient with my son as he was terrified of running a strep test. She even did an example of what it looked like, just to break there barrier of anxiety my son was having. She gave grace and time for him to be ready. She deserves a raise for sure because her efforts exceeded anything I’ve ever seen from any nurse, EVER! ❤️💯☺️

I had really bad experience that I still keep thinking why I didn’t say anything or stop her from doing it. I feel extremely nervous about the case that happened to my child. During a blood test, the cotton ball used to apply pressure was on the padded table where patients sit (not on the disposable paper that goes across the table). Is it common practice or what???? I can’t stop thinking about it. My baby who was happy and healthy is having fever and crying non stop and I’m worried if he had some infection from that lab work visit.

We recently visited this children’s clinic twice with our 18-month-old child. The doctor was wonderful — very patient, kind, and professional, and we truly appreciated the care from the physician. However, our experience with one of the nurses was disappointing. During our first visit, our child had just recovered from the flu and was crying during the measurements. The recorded head circumference was smaller than the measurement from three months earlier, and the height was the same as three months ago. I understand it can be difficult to measure a crying toddler, so we didn’t question it at the time. When we returned two weeks later for vaccinations, our child was a little upset at the beginning, possibly remembering the previous uncomfortable experience. The same nurse appeared notice

Frequently asked questions about Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus
What does Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus do?
Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus is a sleep medicine clinic in Miamisburg, OH that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Dayton Children's Sleep Center, South Campus?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
