Backstory: like many, my insurance deductible is ridiculous. Because of this, each time I go to a Dr., I ask in advance what the visit fee is. I ask to confirm the cost before making an appt or coming as a walk-in. I ask multiple times to ensure I’m not misunderstanding or being misunderstood in my questions. Over 6 months later, I get a bill in the mail. I call & am informed the front desk doesn’t have access to visit fees. Instead of the front desk admitting they don’t know the base fee, or that they only take a deposit towards the cost, they told me the visit fee is a flat amount at my original appointment - with no mention that I might get a bill later for any difference. I was trying not to cry at the absurdity of the American healthcare system, and the lack of information available

Staff literally destroyed my driver's license without permission because it was a couple months out of date. I'm glad I already had gotten the paper one last week or it would have been extremely difficult to even get it replaced. (That one was in my car and I'd have happily provided it had they ASKED.) The fact it was expired is really only my best guess as to the reason. The woman at the desk refused to even acknowledge she had done it or explain why. I was not raising my voice or bring rude, at that point I was mostly just confused. It was the most bizarre interaction I'd ever had with a so called professional. She then informed me the cost to even see a doctor was a flat fee of $110, nearly twice what it had been the last time. No thanks. I called around and Detar on Demand only char

I would give this place ZERO stars! The worst dr. office I have ever been to. I went in to establish a primary care dr. after getting health insurance finally. The dr. clearly didn't listen to any of my concerns or requests. I'm an asthmatic and have been since I was little. I've been taking an over the counter inhaler and asked for a prescription for a real one on June 6th .It is July 9th I still haven't received one .For the past month they have had me doing every test , multiple blood work etc. They also told me my oxygen was low and sent me for x rays on my heart . Then never told me a thing.. They said my blood was low and my liver was high so I had to get sonogram on my abdomen and pelvic area . I called them 4 times before I finally got a call back 2 weeks later by a nurse named Sa

I called BCBS to find an urgent care my insurance would help pay for. They said this was it. Only it’s not. They have themselves listed on some insurance data base as an urgent care but they are not. They told me I could only be seen if I changed my PCP to THEM. BCBS called them with me on the phone and they acted like they had no idea they were listed as an urgent care. Needless to say, I had to go elsewhere. BCBS is going to report them because they are NOT what they are claiming to be. So yeah. Sounds sketchy to me.

I had a appointment at 9. Went in for an eye problem waited 2 hours to be seen by a doctor. Being a new patient its kind of expected. In that 2 hours they took me back to draw blood and get more info i guess they didnt get for the 8 pages of paper work i had to fill out. Then back to wating. When the doc finally comes in she Immediately wants to do a CT scan and orders a chest x-ray, and wants me to go back to the lab for more blood work and a UA???? Didnt even acknowledge what i came in there for originally. When i asked about my eye she said its probably nothin. So i went to a different clinic and i found out i had conjunctivitis. I even asked the doctor at the second place i went to about that and she said that they are just trying to make money of my insurance. Long storie short i will

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Crossroads Health Center PLLC
What does Crossroads Health Center PLLC do?
Crossroads Health Center PLLC is a sleep medicine clinic in Victoria, TX that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Crossroads Health Center PLLC?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Crossroads Health Center PLLC directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Crossroads Health Center PLLC?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Crossroads Health Center PLLC?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
