My mother needed to do an at home monitoring study to correct her CPAP settings years after original study there. She is now blind, in a wheelchair, on oxygen, with congestive heart failure and cancer, in palliative care. I have a legal power of attorney to sign for her. Even after checking with their manager, they said I had to bring her to their clinic, an hour away, to sign for the monitor, even though she can’t see to sign anything. Completely and utterly ridiculous. Zero connection to humanity. No concern for patient reality. If I could give zero stars, I would.

A poor three star motor lodge. Dust and trash behind the bed, stained chairs, disgusting carpet, no signal on tv, no towels and soap I sent concord hospital a complaint and never heard from them Sleep study- well it would have been nice if they removed all the leads before i left. The best place i have had a study was conway nh, hand crafted quilts on the walls

Without fail every appointment I've had with them has been pleasant and professional. My overnight stay for my sleep study was very friendly and they made me as comfortable as they could given the fact that I had a plethora of wires connected to me. The Doctors are very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer all questions. The entire staff is responsive and they go out of their way to ensure everything they do at the sleep center falls inside the boundaries and restrictions of your health insurance. Having had experience with two other sleep centers in the state of New Hampshire (both of which were OK) I would highly recommend this office to anyone in the area that may need to be evaluated for sleep apnea or some other sleep disorder.

I had a sleep study last night and it was a good experience. I was very nervous going in but it turned out much better than I had thought. Cori was in charge of my session and she was very nice. She answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I had a good night sleep. Would recommend the Concord Hospital Sleep Center.

I have never been treated so rudely at a doctors office. I arrived at my appointment time and there were two people in line ahead of me. The woman at the desk asked the other patrons to step aside because I was "late". I look at my watch and it was now 2 minutes past my appointment time due to standing in line. She was just crass and demeaning, hindsight I should have just left at this point but knowing i needed this appointment to continue my cpap prescription i stayed. i was given a sign that said registration and taken to the office to meet the doctor by another assistant that was equally as rude and crass. She was rushing to take my vital signs etc. and I sympathetically made a comment of how rushed they all seemed then she went into a rant scolding me for being "late" stating th

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Concord Hospital Sleep Center

What does Concord Hospital Sleep Center do?

Concord Hospital Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Concord, NH that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Concord Hospital Sleep Center?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Concord Hospital Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Concord Hospital Sleep Center?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Concord Hospital Sleep Center?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
