I waited a month for my pre-appointment screening, so I was already expecting a smooth and organized process. The Thursday before my Monday appointment, I received a call confirming the appointment, and I confirmed that I would be there. Shortly afterward, I received an email that was clearly addressed to another patient. I immediately responded to let them know that they had sent another patient's information to me and that this appeared to be a serious HIPAA/privacy violation. Receiving someone else's information was extremely concerning and did not give me confidence in how patient information was being handled. Then, on Monday morning at 8:30 AM, I arrived for my scheduled appointment. I was told that my appointment had to be rescheduled another month out because I had not completed

The over all experience was great actually and I honestly had no expectations ( good or bad), so imagine my surprise when I actually got a call saying they had a cancellation and could move my appointment up to that evening if I was available to do so for the actual sleep study ( by the way they also got me in pretty quickly for my initial consult), everyone was professional and polite, on the night of the study the young lady who was working was very comforting, compassionate, informative about the process and what she was doing, she answered most of my questions ahead of time and also answered a few personal questions as the test related to me. The next day things went just as smooth upon my discharge and she followed up via email about a few other questions I had, I thanked her for doin

I had an issue with my cpap machine and mask and an appointment was made very quickly. Kilian was my technician and he was AMAZING! He was thorough, patient, and took great care to make sure my problems were resolved and that I understood how to manage the new mask and machine. Going forward, I will request Kilian for any issues that I have with my equipment. Thank you, Kilian!

Unethical. Their pre-consultation ail was so complicated and arduous that I immediately regretted making an appointment. When I saw their exorbitant short notice cancellation fee I (in all caps) I IMMEDIATELY called to cancel. Three calls later and an after having written a very frustrated email, I managed to get a confirmed cancelation prior to being charged. But wait, they still billed my insurance company for a video consultation that never took place and are still trying to collect a $25 co-pay from me almost a year later. I have spent hours on the phone with both Cigna and their billing person, to no avail. They are still threatening collections for a consultation that never took place! I will call Cigna, again, and recommend that CSCC be made out of Network! And then I am going to w

I want to preface by stating that the nighttime lab technician was absolutely wonderful, polite, and considerate (I unfortunately cannot remember her name, but she mentioned having relatives in a Scandinavian country, if that helps the managers, if you read this). Additionally, the employees who responded to phone calls and emails, as well as the receptionists, were nice and patient. However, this was the worst doctor I have ever spoken to in my life. Kathryn Soto was unbelievably rude and dismissive throughout both of our visits. She interrupted and spoke over me almost every time I tried to explain, ask, or describe something. For example, once, when I tried to ask a question, she interrupted and answered a different question that I wasn’t asking (as in, she was assuming what I was aski

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility

What does Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility do?

Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility is a sleep medicine clinic in Chantilly, VA that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center - Chantilly Facility?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
