My experience was pretty terrible. The nurse at the front desk was really nice but the doctor has ZERO bedside manner. The nurse took me and my child to a room to ask the questions and before she finished the doctor came in did not acknowledge me and was complaining about kids making to much noise in the lobby. She told the nurse that she can see my daughter. The nurse told me to follow the doctor to this super small room. She made ZERO eye contact, did not greet me or my c. She stared at the computer typing the entire time. She did not evaluate her at all. She said my daughter is very hyper and needs to be medicated. I’m never coming back here and I recommend you find a more competent physician.

We just came back from my son evaluation and Although we still have a long road ahead of us the staff and doctor were all great. They took care of our son and took their time to learn his history. They deserve 5 stars. I am happy we traveled far to get to this clinic. It was wel worth it

Haven’t even taken my child but already have such a headache with these people. My sons pediatrician gave me a referral for them a month ago. I called to see if they had received it told me no. I get a call a couple of days later but was unable to answer but the person that called left me a voicemail so I called back. I spoke to a really nice person who told me she doesn’t know who and why that person called because she didn’t have a referral for my son. She gave me the fax number and I called my sons pcp gave them the fax. I waited a few days and decided to call and the phone was answered by a Nancy who said she was the referral coordinator. I provided her with the fax number I was given and then a secondary one that was given to me and she rudely said she doesn’t know where I got that fa

UPDATE: Dr. Dahan has not been able to help us at all after a year and a half and has now brushed us off to find help elsewhere. Dr. Dahan and her staff have been wonderful ! I have almost given up on finding a doctor that actually cares. One that doesn't treat you like cattle. From the first visit we got the feeling that our daughter was the only patient the doctor had because of the time put forth and the genuine concern shown to us.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Comprehensive Neurology Clinic

What does Comprehensive Neurology Clinic do?

Comprehensive Neurology Clinic is a sleep medicine clinic in Kissimmee, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Comprehensive Neurology Clinic?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Comprehensive Neurology Clinic directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Comprehensive Neurology Clinic?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Comprehensive Neurology Clinic?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
