Do yourself a favor and stay away from any Complete Neurology location. I had an absolutely terrible experience. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I know it’s a little long, but please take a moment to read everything. You can expect to wait for hours, regardless of whether you have an appointment. After your appointment, if you need to contact the office for anything, good luck reaching anyone. They only provide a phone number that goes to a call center, and the representatives are some of the rudest and least helpful people I’ve ever dealt with. They treat patients like customers at a coffee shop rather than people trying to get healthcare. They constantly transfer you to numbers where you can never reach anyone. I was scheduled for a nerve test for another day after seein

I had visited the downtown clinic at 225 Broadway where my experience was also disappointing and they referred me to this midtown location for a scan. I arrived in the office which had no receptionists working and a sign to sign in. I signed in and after waiting an hour, someone came out and told me I signed the wrong sheet. I then had to wait even longer. Once taken back, 1.5 hours after my scheduled appointment time, the clinician told me I could not take the scan ordered for me because of a previous procedure which I had discussed at length with my original provider who ordered the test, and that I should leave. Complete waste of my time. I’m not sure why I would have been ordered a test which the PA should have known I couldn’t take. Possibly because he was eating his lunch during our

I faced a great deal of difficulty working through some administrative tasks, complicated by the game of telephone common to Health Provider systems. Luckily, the main liaison I worked with from Complete Neuro's staff, Mr. Parker, communicated clearly and explicitly, letting me know all the info I needed and advocating for the necessary procedures to be completed in coordination with his manager Ms. Nyla, in addition to Mr. Atlas who was the first to begin accelerating the process and properly confirm important paperwork. They made a potentially extremely frustrating experience simpler and less opaque. I would like to explicitly commend both for assisting me to the greatest extent of their capacity.

I’ve been a patient of CNC for a few years now and this is their best office. Dr. Larissa has been very attentive and delightfully personable for my condition, keeps me updated on any new treatments. She keeps a calming energy throughout which is especially crucial when you’re suffering from migraines. The receptionist team is very supportive with appointment scheduling in advance. I recommend booking in ahead and keeping it at all cost as she fills up.

My friend came to get her neurologist appointment and she felt completely dismissed, she has been experiencing migraines, this has been outgoing problem where she hasn't been feeling like herself while never experiencing these symptoms before. Dr. Jonathan Guterman is not thorough when explaining her results and is completely dismissive of what she's going through. You would expect a more empathetic approach while trying to figure out about your health issues. Very disappointing on his part. Would appreciate a more informative and intentional care from a neurologist.

Jocelyn was very helpful, patient and kind. You could see she take pride in her job and cares for her patients. The technician who did my study was also kind and helpful to me. I definitely would recommend him and would also return for future service.

I had a disappointing experience at Complete Neurological Care. I came in hoping to get answers and guidance for my ongoing dizziness and balance issues, but I left feeling dismissed and unheard. I felt like my concerns were not fully addressed, and I did not feel that my symptoms were taken seriously. I understand that not every test will provide a clear answer right away, but I expected a more thorough explanation of my results and a discussion about possible next steps. I would have appreciated more time, empathy, and communication from the provider. Patients come to specialists because they are looking for help and reassurance, and feeling listened to is an important part of care.

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Complete Neurological Care

What does Complete Neurological Care do?

Complete Neurological Care is a sleep medicine clinic in New York, NY that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Complete Neurological Care?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Complete Neurological Care directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Complete Neurological Care?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Complete Neurological Care?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
