I was experiencing acute abdominal discomfort. My son came to my rescue and took the day off from work to take me to the hospital emergency room! The staff were very supportive and caring. As was the physician who took care of me. I felt that my health was a priority for them! Blood pressure was measured; blood was drawn; IV was started. I was given a CT scan with and without contrast. As soon as the results came back the doctor reassured me once again that I would be fine with the prescription he gave me. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone who needs efficient, professional medical care with support and kindness.

I just wanted to take a minute and give kiddos to everyone who helped care for my fiance Jason Wall. We started in the ER with excellent care and continued for a couple of days upstairs along with the cath lab and truly felt that we weren't a number and received excellent care from everyone. The day and night crew were amazing! We would like to give a special thanks to everyone involved in our stay Chloe, Jenna, Shannon, Jo (go Cougars), Kristina, Andrea (student), Isabella (echo), Cathy (ct), Rosa, Lakesha, Charlie, Sherry, Todd (food & nutrition) Steve (clergy), Dr. Schecoff and Dr. Dahhan. Everyone, was so extremely nice and even though we were there for serious reasons we actually enjoyed being there. Super personable! 2 Central is the place to be! I am here now. Rooms are gross. The bathroom doesn’t have a sink inside of it it’s outside the bathroom next to the other patient in the room and I can’t get to it. In general the staff has been nice and accommodating it’s more the shape of the hospital. I have colitis and have to go outside my room right next to other patient to TRY to wash my hands. It’s just not very hygienic.

I don’t even know where to begin… but I know I need to say this out loud for the world to hear. To the ER doctor at HCA Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson — thank you for saving my mom’s life. The day we came in, my mom was fighting for her life. As a daughter, I was watching the most important person in my world slip further and further away, and I felt completely helpless. Several people came in to evaluate her, ordering more tests and more scans, but you… you took one look at her and knew. You didn’t hesitate. You didn’t wait. You made the decision that saved her. You made the call to paralyze and intubate her so her body could rest and heal. I was terrified. Absolutely terrified. All I could think was, what if this is the moment I lose her? I was so afraid that once that tube went in,

What to expect at a sleep study appointment
For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.
Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Bayonet Point Hospital
What does Bayonet Point Hospital do?
Bayonet Point Hospital is a sleep medicine clinic in Hudson, FL that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.
Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Bayonet Point Hospital?
Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Bayonet Point Hospital directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.
How much does a sleep study cost at Bayonet Point Hospital?
Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.
Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?
Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.
How long does it take to get sleep study results?
Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.
Can I do the sleep study at home?
Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.
What should I bring to my appointment at Bayonet Point Hospital?
Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
