I have no complaints about the Dr he has always been ok but after a combined 4 years as a patient I have constant struggles with his office. There is constant Billings they can’t explain for services never provided. They continually bill the wrong insurance. I never receive the supplies I am supposed to get and that I get charged for. Please do not waste your money there is way better and more professional offices out and about that care about their patients unlike this office.

To start, I did schedule an appointment. I arrived a half hour early. I was ignored for awhile, and then told I was in the wrong place. I should go to their other office next to "CarQuest" a few blocks north. They did not know the actual address. I learned the "other" office does not exist. In fact there is no "Car Quest" anywhere close. 45 minutes later (with another's help), they admitted I did have an appointment at their location. From the start, I realized this was a racial problem, and I was not welcome there. But please don't send me to an office that does not exist! And please do not waste my time! Tell me, and others that look or speak like me that we are not allowed, and please put a sign on the door so I know. Shame on you! I would never have treated you the way I was tr

This is the only sleep lab that I've ever been to, so I have nothing to compare it to, but this was a bad experience for me. I was tested for sleep apnea, which my doctor pretty much already knew I had, but had to be verified so that I could get a CPAP machine. My usual sleep hours are from 1 AM to 9 AM but this place didn't care. I had to be there to go to sleep at 9 PM - no exceptions. And then they wired me from head to toe with an itchy wiring mess and ordered me to sleep, Well I couldn't. I wound up getting only 2-3 hours of sleep that night, which was not conclusive, so guess what. I had to go back and get drugged to sleep and do it again, and then I managed to get about 4 hours of sleep. And then, after all was said and done, and I had the CPAP and it was over a year later and I

What to expect at a sleep study appointment

For an in-lab study, you arrive in the evening and sleep in a private room while sensors record breathing, oxygen, heart rhythm and body movement. For a home sleep test, the clinic gives you a portable kit you use in your own bed. Neither test is painful. Results are usually compiled into a physician report within one to two weeks, and the clinic then discusses whether treatment — such as CPAP therapy or an oral appliance — is needed.

Preparation basics: avoid caffeine in the afternoon, skip lotions and hair products, bring comfortable sleepwear, and take your regular medications unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Frequently asked questions about Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center

What does Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center do?

Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center is a sleep medicine clinic in Aurora, CO that evaluates and treats sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Evaluation usually involves a sleep study, and treatment may include CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, or behavioral therapy depending on the diagnosis.

Do I need a referral to book a sleep study at Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center?

Many insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before covering a sleep study. Requirements vary by insurer and by clinic, so contact Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center directly using the phone number on this page and ask what your plan needs.

How much does a sleep study cost at Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center?

Sleep study costs vary widely with the type of test, your insurance plan and your deductible. Home sleep tests generally cost less than in-lab studies. Ask the clinic for an itemized estimate and check with your insurer about in-network rates before booking.

Does insurance cover sleep studies and CPAP treatment?

Most US insurers, including Medicare, cover sleep studies and CPAP therapy when they are medically necessary and properly documented. Coverage details — deductibles, co-pays and supply replacement schedules — differ by plan, so verify with your insurer and the clinic.

How long does it take to get sleep study results?

Typically one to two weeks. A sleep physician reviews the recorded data and writes a report, after which the clinic discusses the findings and any recommended treatment with you.

Can I do the sleep study at home?

Possibly. Home sleep apnea tests suit many adults with a high likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea and no major heart or lung conditions. If your symptoms are complex or the home test is negative despite strong symptoms, an in-lab study is usually the next step. The clinic can determine which option fits you.

What should I bring to my appointment at Aurora Diagnostic Sleep Center?

Comfortable sleepwear, your photo ID and insurance card, a list of current medications, and your own pillow if that helps you sleep. Avoid caffeine after midday and skip lotions or hair products, because sensors attach better to clean skin.
